Your 2013 Honda CR-V can be equipped with any of three different classes of hitch, Class I, II or III. These differ in their towing capacities and sizes. It is important that both your car itself, and your hitch, have enough capacity for the trailer you intend to tow. If the maker of your trailer suggests a 2-inch Class III hitch receiver be used to tow it, then it is quite possible that a 1-1/4-inch hitch will not be enough.
