Question:
For 2006 BMW X3 there are 4 different brands of hitches available on the market: Curt, Hidden Hitch, Draw-Tite and Reese. I need a class III for a bike rack. Which one would you recommend for my vehicle? Thank you.

Expert Reply:
The trailer hitch I recommend for your X3 is the Draw-Tite Max-Frame, part # 75371. This is a Class lll hitch and it has a 2 inch receiver opening.
If you do not have a bike carrier, you can check out the link for the bike carriers. One of the nice bike racks I recommend is the Thule Camber, part # TH9058. This is a 2-bike carrier that will work in 1-1/4 and 2 inch hitch receivers and folds down for easy storage when not in use.
I recommend a hitch lock like part # THSTL2 that secures the carrier to the vehicle.
