Compatibility of Hopkins Towing Wiring Harness HM56100 with Brake Buddy Braking System
Published 06/19/2015 >
Question:
I have installed the Hopkins custom harness in my HHR and plan on using a Brake Buddy auxiliary braking system. Do the built-in Diodes in the harness protect me from feedback when the brake pedal is depressed by the Brake Buddy during towing?

Helpful Expert Reply:
The built-on diodes on your Hopkins # HM56100 will work just fine. We've found that this harness isn't compatible with some braking systems, but your Brake Buddy is of the type that is compatible. Everything will work together well.
