Question:
I have a 2014 Dodge Caravan and I just watched you video on installing the trailer hitch we are buying a small boat. The underside of the van with the bolts that were removed during the video is quite different than the bolt location on my van. When I have the hitch, would it be obvious which bolts I need to remove? otherwise I may have to a shop do it for me. Thanks.

The attached video for a 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan shows where the locations are on the underside that need to be removed. These are installed at the factory, and should all be in the same locations as shown in the video. This hitch comes with installation instructions and should be a really simple install. I doubt you will have any problem. When you see the spacing for the bolt holes on the hitch you can see where they are on the underside of your van. It does require using a torque wrench when tightening the bolts.
I recommend the Draw-Tite Hitch, part # 75579. This is a Class lll hitch and it has a 2 inch receiver opening.
Since you said you are planning on doing some towing with the hitch I recommend the etrailer ball mount kit # 989900. It comes with 2 ball mounts; one with a 3/4 inch rise or 2 inch drop and one with a 2-3/4 inch rise or 4 inch drop. It also includes a 1-7/8 inch ball, 2 inch ball, hitch pin with clip, and a storage bag.
If you need a trailer wiring harness for your van I recommend the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # C56331. I have attached a link to an installation of this harness on a 2014 Caravan also.
