Leaf Spring Recommendation to Replace a 27 inch Spring

Updated 05/11/2015 | Published 05/10/2015

Question:

I have an old 1981 Rolco boat trailer rated at 3,500lbs. capacity. I want to replace the old double eye leaf springs. I have reviewed all of the measurement info you provide as well as browsing through the general QandA section. I am perplexed that I currently have 5 leaf spring set up that measure 27inch eye to eye with no load. Obviously we can assume sag over that period of time, is that excessive? I only have a 600lb. aluminum boat on it plus the trailer weight, which being completely steel do not know the true trailer weight, is somewhat significant. Is a 3,500lb. capacity spring 25-1/4inch eye to eye spring feasable here? If not, what do you suggest? Thank you!

Sounds like the Leaf Spring part # SP-210275 would be what you need. This spring has a distance of 27 inches from eye to eye and has a capacity of 1,500 lbs per spring.

This would be the closest matched spring to what you would need in terms of capacity and dimensions. I attached an install video for you to check out as well.
