I am looking for a folding cargo carrier that will work with the spare tire. I cant manage taking the carrier on and off. I already have a hitch with a 2inch receiver. Ill be using it primarily for bikes. I had a Thule bike rack but can no longer lift the bikes that high. Thanks.

I have a solution for you that SHOULD work well, the Curt Cargo Carrier part # C18109.
When we installed a hitch on a similar CR-V as yours we measured from the center of the hitch pin hole out to the furthest point out on the rear spare and found that dimension to be 8-3/4 inches. You will need to measure the hitch of your vehicle to verify that you have the same dimension.
The # C18109 has a distance of 10-1/4 inches from the center of it's hitch pin hole to the nearest portion of the rack when folded up so it would clear and work well for you.
