How do I remove the retention hook in my 2008 mustang. I ordered all weather weather tech floor liners and the original hook does not fit the hole

Hopefully you ordered the # WT461391 for front floor mats as this is the Weathertech floor mat confirmed to fit your 2008 Ford Mustang. You should be able to line the retention hook up with the hole in the floor and get the hook started through it and then pull the mat towards the front of the vehicle to get the hook to fully seat.
