Hi Experts! Im current researching options to add a fifth wheel hitch to my 2014 Ram 1500. Its the 5.7L V8, no factory air suspension, 6foot bed, crew cab, rated to tow about 10,500lbs I would like to add a set of air bags to aid in my driving experience as well. Can you recommend a 15k/16k fifth wheel setup that would go along with the timbren? Thank you for your expertise!!!

First let's start with a fifth wheel rail kit to allow a fifth wheel hitch to be installed in the bed of your 2014 Ram 1500 short bed. For a rail kit you would want a custom install kit like the part # C16306-204 that has been confirmed to fit your vehicle. This will cut install time in half when compared to a universal kit and will minimize drilling.
Since the # TDR1500DQ installs by attaching to the jounce bumper mount of your frame it would be compatible with this rail kit.
For a 16k slider hitch I would recommend the Curt Q16 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ R16 Slider # C16521 as it has a 16k capacity like you said you needed, has a jaw design that provides excellent king pin contact and because of the round tube slider that operates smoother than square tube sliders.
I can't recommend you exceed the towing capacity for your vehicle though. So if your truck is rated for 10.5k you can't tow more than that.
