Which Way Should Air Inlet Face on Air Bags for 2012 Mitsubishi Outlander
Updated 04/01/2015 | Published 03/30/2015 >
Question:
A quick follow-up to my previous question-still about a 2012 Mitsubishi Outlander. The Firestone instructions state that the airbags should be installed with the air inlet facing down, and yet every video you guys do has the inlets facing up. It seems like up-facing would be better for routing and for keeping the cable clear of road debri. Any reason I shouldnt do it like you guys do?

The orientation of the air bags are going to be different for every vehicle. On some you even have the option to have the inlet at the top or the bottom. We do not have a video showing installation of # F4182 on a 2012 Mitsubishi Outlander but if we did it would be installed according to the instructions.
