Own 2014 f150 with factory 7 round and 4 flat trailer lite reciever- checked by ford- good. bought 2 different 7 way to 5 way flat adapter for boat trailer with surge brakes. both adapters will not allow left turn lite to lite. The trailer lites ALL work on 2002 ford truck 5way to 5way. Are there different adapters for this problem? or any other suggestions? Thank you

That's kind of an odd problem...does the left turn pin (9:00 position) in the 7-way function properly when the adapter isn't being used? Use a circuit tester like part # PTW2993 to ensure the trailer connector's been wired correctly. Activate the left turn signal, then test the pin in the 7-way for the left turn. If you're not getting a signal, use the tester on the wiring harness feeding the 7-way. If you're not getting power reaching the 7-way on that circuit, you likely have a blown fuse. Check the fuse panel under the hood and replace the fuse if needed.
If everything checks out okay, a standard 7-way to 5-pole adapter like the part # A75TB should work fine.
