Trailer Disc Brake Venting Design

Updated 02/02/2015 | Published 02/01/2015

Question:

I know from experience slotting on rotors helps the performance of the braking system. Are there any slotted, not drilled/slotted as the drilling make the rotors a bit more fragile, options for this product.

Slotted rotors do a great job dissipating heat on disc brake systems. Trailer brakes do create heat, but the venting between both sides of the rotors is sufficient for dissipating heat for trailers.

I attached a page that has all of the disc brake systems we offer for trailers.

Typically only performance vehicles come with slotted rotors. Most vehicles that are used for just regular everyday driving use rotors just like the ones in the link I attached.
