What Does the Sync Control on the Draw-Tite Activator Do

Question:
I purchased a 2004 2500 dodge ram with the draw tite control already installed and I am not sure exactly what the sync control does. Does it control when the brakes will engage according to how much brake pressure is applied on the towing vehicle before they kick in. or is it something else? I know the front top slide adjuster will adjust how much the trailer brake will apply, but just not sure about the function of the sync control because I had no instructions with it. Thank you.

The front slide does not adjust brake pressure. The front slide is a manual over-ride button. There is a little dial or slide above the red LED that adjusts the brake pressure. The sync dial on the side adjusts the time it takes for the brake controller reach the brake power setting. The sync control adjusts if the power ramps up quickly or slowly.
The Draw-Tite Activator # 5504 is a time-delayed controller. You use the output control to set how much power the brake controller puts out. It does not matter how hard you push the brakes on the truck, it will always send the amount of power to the trailer brakes that you set it to put out.
