Question:
I have a 1998 Cadillac Deville that I would like to use to pull a walk on utility trailer. I need to move some small furniture and a garden tractor. The trip is about 150 miles. Is this possible?

We do offer one trailer hitch receiver for your 1998 Cadillac DeVille, part # 36267 from Draw-Tite. This is a 1-1/4-inch Class II hitch with 300-lb tongue weight and 3500-lb towing capacities.
You will want to check your DeVille's owner's manual or speak to a local Cadillac dealership to confirm that the vehicle is rated to tow a trailer. It is possible that the hitch and car have different capacities, and when this is the case the lower-rated item determines the overall capacity for the combined system. Always check your manual before towing.
If your trailer has lights you'll need a wiring harness to transfer the vehicle's lighting signals to the lights on the trailer. You can use TowReady kit # 119178KIT. I have linked both the written instructions and an installation video to illustrate a typical install process. Installation on your vehicle will vary somewhat from the video.
Along with the hitch and wiring you will need a ball mount and a hitch ball. (The required pin and clip are included with the hitch.) You can use ball mount # 36063.
For a hitch ball I suggest the TowReady # 63802 which is an interchangeable ball kit with both 1-7/8- and 2-inch ball sizes to allow you to tow trailers with different size couplers.
I have linked for you two articles with tips for hitch installation as well as an article that covers towing basics. These will give you a good start to getting your DeVille tow-ready.
