How Does a Bolt Leader/Fishwire Work when Installing a Front Mount Receiver on a 2008 Toyota Tundra

Question:

The instructions on using the Bolt leader are not clear. At least not to me. I havent crawled under there yet so it may become clear once I see it. I would rather have a better explanation as to how these work. Even better would be a video. Anything you can do with be appreciated. If you have a link for a video please give me the exact link so I dont have to scan through every video you have to find it.

I have included links to a video that, in part, shows how to fishwire hardware when installing a hitch and to our help article with installation tips.

Basically, you will run the fishwire through the hole that you will be using with the spring-looking end going in first. Pull it out through another access hole. Slide the block spacer on first. Thread the hardware to the spring end and then pull the other end of the fishwire back through the first hole so that the threaded part of the bolt is sticking through.
