Question:
I installed an aftermarket brake controller on a 2012 f350 using a wiring adapter harness. brake control module fault is now displayed. did I do something wrong or how can I this?

Sounds like your 2012 Ford F350 has an integrated brake controller and that is why you are seeing an error code.
The only way to remove this code, is to have the TBC turned off by your local Ford dealer. Using the IDS, the Ford Technician should access the Programmable Parameters and then select the Personality/Dynamics. Select the TBC and turn it off. The fault code will now be removed.
