Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look at this Kats Heaters oil or transmission pan heating pad. Now this is a really a cold weather helper for your vehicle. This is going going to gently warm your engine oil or transmission fluid, which is gonna make a big difference for you in the winter. When fluids are warm, obviously they're going to flow better, so your engine's going to get better lubrication right away and your transmission is going to shift more smoothly instead of feeling stiff or sluggish in the cold. So by helping the oil flow properly or more smoothly from the startup, this is going to help reduce wear on your engine and support longer, better overall performance, especially on those freezing mornings.
So this is built to hold up well. The silicone cover is going to resist oil and acid and it's going to install easily by sticking directly to the underside of your oil pan or transmission pan using strong 3M adhesive. So you'll just peel that back to expose that adhesive and stick this on. So what's nice about this type of setup is there's no drilling or complicated tools needed. Then you'll just plug this into a standard 120 volt outlet using the attached three-prong plug, and it's gonna quietly do its job.
It's CSA approved for safety, runs at 50 watts, and this has a nearly a five foot cord, about 59 and a half inches long. So it's gonna give you quite a bit of flexibility when plugging this in. Now, just to give you some measurements of the pad itself, looking at the overall length, pretty close to five inches. Width, two inches.
