Very sturdy mounting absolutely no play. I do have one complaint though if you follow the measurements for the Honda fit they are way too wide so you have to do a custom fitment and then center it yourself.
The roof racks have been great. I've used them with j-hooks and rear loading slider type pads. They are easy to install/remove. In the picture is my 17ft long sea kayak that stayed secure and safe on a 6 hour journey in high winds using the racks.
