Speaker 1: So, today we're taking a look at a cam lock from Camco. The key operated cam lock helps keep your belongings secure. This is ideal for new or replacement installations on gun cabinets, cash boxes, drawers, and RV storage compartments. It does come with one straight cam and one offset cam, so you can choose whatever one works best for your application. It comes with the lock body, comes with the installation nut, and it comes with two keys that are keyed alike.A few measurements that I want to go over with you real quick. You'll notice here on the back side of the cam, that we have a flat side on each side of the unit, and then if you rotate it, it has a threaded side on each side of the unit.
So from flat side to flat side, we have a measurement straight across, flat side to flat side of 5/8 of an inch. Threaded side to threaded side measures 3/4 of an inch. From the bottom of the lock head, so that's from the bottom of that portion there, to the back of this screw, gives us an overall depth of 7/8 of an inch. From the center of the screw head to the end of the flat cam is an inch and 1/4.Also installed, this one, it measures from the center of the screw head to the end of the offset cam, and that was 1 5/8 of an inch. And each cam has an overall width of 5/8 of an inch, and the lock head itself, this portion here, has a diameter of 7/8 of an inch.
Once installed, it's very easy to use and operate. Basically all you have to do is place a key in and rotate it to move it to the lock or the unlock position.That's gonna do it for today's look at the Camco cam lock.
