Mount where the solar panel gets direct sun and aim the light toward the area you want to illuminate. If installing on a moving vehicle, use the screws for a more secure hold.
They provide strong, bright light for entries, steps, and security areas, with motion sensitivity reported up to about 100' in good placement. If the light feels too intense up close, use the lower setting if available. Aim and height affect coverage—test and adjust to get the area you want lit.
The switch is on the back. If you use the double-sided tape, you won't be able to reach it without removing the light. Use the included screws so you can take the light down to access the switch and to get a stronger mount against wind and movement. These aren't designed to be repeatedly turned on and off.
It should turn on in a dark area after a good charge. Make sure the solar panel had full sun for the entire charge period, not shade or cloudy conditions.
