Received the Tow Base package. Box was a little damaged because the packing inside the box was just wadded up heavy paper. Tow bar broke thru the box but was not damaged. Recommend using some sort of package foam to better support the heavy metal tow bar.

The service was extremely. The product looks heavy duty.. Haven’t installed it yet.

This is the forth Roadmaster bracket I have put on in the last 20 years. The custom fit makes it easy to install. I would not call myself a mechanic and was able to install these brackets in about two hours. I was not in a hurry. Camping World charges $500 just to put these brackets on !! Great instructions. Roadmaster makes a great product. Ordering from etrailer was easy and the brackets arrived within a week.

It came fast and I plan on installing it next week. Great so far.

Fairly easy installation. Instructions were very clear and helpful. Admittedly much easier to accomplish with a vehicle lift. The only small difficulty is with the 5/8" flag nuts. The tabs had to be bent slightly to allow the big bolts to line up. Overall about 4 hours start to finish.

Put this on a 2014 Honda CR-V. This is a very well made base plate setup! The overall design, welds and powder coating are outstanding! Shipping was super fast too! The install video by etrailer was close to perfect and really helped to take the "scary" out of doing the job. The only change I would like to see in the video is during the grill removal. He says to just yank it forward to get the clips to release. Unfortunately, most of the specialized clips broke doing it this way. Had I known, I would have slipped a thin tool just below the grill to get the clips to unlock/release. Also, on the wrap around, bumper cover, some of the tabs on the bumper cover ripped out and I had to do some creative plastic welding or fiberglass resin/cloth to repair. These clips have a release tab also. I suggest finding specific videos on youtube to remove the plastic body parts and grill. I got it all done and it works perfectly! I really love the almost invisible tow receivers on the car (when the arms are removed). Our last toad was a 1997 Nissan Hardbody pickup that has permanent knee busting/shin smashing protrusions. I am super happy with everything we have bought from etrailer over the past 18 years!

Just took the maiden voyage with the new Motorhome and the new Tow Car or ( Toad ). After getting everything set up and installed on the coach and the dingy towing was a breeze. Hardly even noticed that i was towing a car behind me. Bought all RoadMaster equipment and purchased everything from etrailer, baseplate and towbar with the invisibrake system and all the necessary cables. Etrailer was Awesome they made sure that I had everything needed and that everything fit my vehicle.

Everthing worked as it requested. Just got my new tow bar brackets on time looks great. Thank you very much. John

Purchased the towing adapter for my GMC Terrain a few week ago, received it on time & boxed not damaged. Watched the videos’ about three time on how to do it myself and started one evening and finished it the next morning about three hours with Beer Breaks, LoL. All the parts fix perfectly, had no problems with any of the parts, Product is real sturdy and if you don’t know where to look at the bumper you will not see the hide away receiver brackets. Very nice product, do it yourself and save Up loading two photos if it will let me one is with hide away brackets installed and the other one you can see is my complete tow bar attached to the hide away brackets

Roadmaster base plate for 2010 GMC Terrain. Very detailed instructions, great videos. Product was as described, no holes to drill, just replace factory parts with Roadmaster parts. Everything went together very well. I used the instructions supplied along with the video on my laptop. Hardest part was popping the bumper shroud back on due to colder temperature. I have a fair bit of experience with rebuilding classic cars so have lots tools and reasonable mechanical ability.

As always amazing fit. I did not agree with cutting the stuff frame bolt so I just used a few washers to get clearance i needed on passager side.

Had Base Plate installed today, shop gave me 2.5 hr labor time. I returned just under 2hrs and they were backing my car out the shop. They parked it facing me. I told the Mechanic "That was quick" He said that's because it wouldn't fit. I was disappointed and asked what do I owe you for your labor> He laughed out loud and said it on there, but hard to see. I was so surprised and pleased you have to just about get down on your knees and bend down to see it. took me about 8 min to install everything and connect it to the Tow vehicle. I'm very pleased with it.

Good product. If you are reasonably handy and have some tools, you can install this yourself in a few hours. I'm a mechanic, it took me a little over 2 hours to install on my own toad. The fit is good, there are 4 holes you have to drill, otherwise it is plug and play. When you insert and twist lock the tow bar mounts into their sockets they feel a little sloppy but they are secure, and i never noticed any rattle when towing. Overall i give it a 4 out of 5 for easy install and clean look after install. Pic included of installed base plate.

Roadmaster EZ-5 base plate install on 2012 Chevy Sonic. My wife and I completed the install in about 5 hours. The Roadmaster directions are good but skip from step 5 to step 7. There should be a step 6 that describes how to pull the bumper cover away from the fender without ruining the slots on the bumper cover that match tabs on the lower part of the fender. We went to the etrailer install video to see how they removed the bumper cover. We did just what the video showed and ended up tearing the slots so now the bumper cover sticks out a little at the front of the fender. The fit of the EZ-5 base plate was very good. Cutting the lower grill for the tow bar adapters was fairly easy and doesn't look too bad. The kit was missing a couple of the 1/2" washers, otherwise a complete kit. We are happy with our install and saved hundreds of dollars doing the work ourselves.

Works much better than y old crossbar Roadmaster base plate. Does not hang down as far and easier to install the arms.

A small tube of Locktite red should be included for the price. Otherwise installation was easy. Lining the holes up on one side took some effort but that is likely an issue with the vehicle not the base plate.

great fit. a slight cut needed to be made in the bumper bracket to facilitate the round tube to fit through the bracket. but, other than that, it was an easy install took about 2 hours if you include the coffee brakes. this part is highly recommended. Fast shipping. the beast human service. thank you.

Kit was installed by hitching post on Ocala Florida. The installation has been a success. I really like the diodes for compatable wiring. Towed about 4 thousand miles in my Ram and feel confident that it will go many more.

Looks very good quality and I like the way it’s mounted in there where the tow hooks were that way it’s inconspicuous.

The removable arms were an absolute pain to install. That might have been different if I had a better drill, but I had to drill holes in extremely thick metal to attach these arms and it took me awhile just to get the holes drilled. I went through bits and oil for hours to get the holes drilled, but I also didn't have the money to spend on buying specific additional tools for the project. The arms work great. Very nice to be able to remove the arms when you're not using them and then you can add them in about 5 seconds each if you need to use them. I installed them on a 2018 F-150 Roush.

Fit the wife's Jeep perfect.

Very happy with this product. Installation was pretty easy. I see no reason to pay someone to install this. True you have to take the bumper off and a large metal support beam but it was pretty easy. You just have to take it slow and not get frustrated. The bumper on the Honda Fit is held on with a gazillion little plastic clips and snap joints. Everything fits tight on a Honda so you have to be patient. My only complaint is they don't give you the exact torque settings. I had to consult a shop manual to get the correct torque values. They give a table at the end of the instructions that gives common torque values for various bolt sizes. I thought that was lame they could have given the correct value from the shop manual. Certainly not enough to lower my rating. This bar is awesome and when the drawbars are removed the base plate is almost completely hidden. My wife wanted nothing to show on the front of the car. She was very pleased with it. In the picture attached the bar is almost completely hidden. All you see are two small black circles. It takes about 2 seconds to mount the drawbars, just twist and go. VERY sturdy. I tow my Honda behind the motorhome with confidence.

The installation on this was surprisingly quick on my 2011 Fit (base/non-sport version). Everything fit well (no pun intended). A few minor changes over the video as my car was slightly different: - I didn't have to trim anything on the air dam -- the tubes lined up perfectly with the slots on my grill. - There was a in the wheel on each side where the plastic bumper meets the steel body panel. I didn't realize they were there (they're hidden somewhat) so I ended up cracking the hole this screw was in, but everything came back together nice and tight anyway.

This is a great base plate, it really looks good and integrates well with the front of the jeep.

Tow bar fits my Jeep just fine and has worked as expected. My only criticism is with installation. etrailer makes the installation appear quite simple when, in fact, we struggled somewhat with our DIY install in our garage. If someone had access to a vehicle lift, the installation would be much easier. The reality is that a normal DIY person must lay on the ground and struggle somewhat with the install. The etailer videos and instructions were a great help, but I certainly would have liked a vehicle lift to make the process much easier.

Build quality is excellent. No issues what-so-ever regarding the integrity and the strength of the design. Installation was not without issues. Some self-inflicted wounds like when I lost lock on all the fasteners for the bumper and frontend. I bet there were over 50 screws and clips each of which had their own location. I wish I would have put them in separate baggies and labeled everything. Also, suggest you use masking or painters’ tape to line everything up before you take the front bumper and cowling off. That would have saved time. BlueOx recommends using a 1.25in hole saw. NOT for me. No way you can get the hole saw to bite. Much better is a tapered drill. Available for about the same price as a hole saw, far more versatile, and a LOT EASIER to control. I’ll admit to not being the sharpest spoon in the drawer and I am a bit retentive, but I spent probably 20 hours on the install. The issue I had was not with the baseplate perse, but rather with taking everything apart and then figuring out how to put it back together again with no leftover parts. There are two criticisms I would levy at BlueOx. ONE: They provide a helper to install an otherwise inaccessible nut. Well that’s fine, but the threads were fouled and need to be cleaned. That should have been prior to shipment. And TWO: They were explicit in their measurements, which I followed, and messed-up. By the time I found the issue, I would have had to take the bumper off – so I improvised a work-around.

They fit perfectly and look great! I did have an issue getting the bumper back on. I had to remove the plastic facias below the headlight on each side. The rubber mounted to the top of the bumper would not allow the bumper to go back in. The facia's came off easily following the instructions on YouTube for removing the grille. The facia's were in the first part of that video.
