Rhino-Rack Roof Mounted Steel Cargo Basket - 57" Long x 42" Wide - 165 lbs
Great product. Great quality. Instructions not real clear, so took me a couple of hours to assemble. Then another 15-20 minutes to secure to roof racks. I was working alone, extra hands would have helped. But extremely happy with quality and looks of product. We have lots of family that visit us, so I plan to carry luggage on the rack to free up space inside the vehicle on trips to and from the airport.
Does what I need it to do. Easy to take on and off as needed. Installed to '21 Outback factory bars. Easily accepted different brand awning hardware.

Thule Canyon XT Roof Cargo Basket - Steel - 49" x 40" x 6" - 150 lbs
Received and installed just in time for a family trip to a cabin. This rack was perfect for storing coolers and bags to free up space in the back of the car. The only difficult step in the installation was getting it as close to centered as possible on the roof rails.
I love this basket! Once I centered on cross braces, it was easy to leave the connectors in same spot. Also, low enough profile to drive in and out my garage. We have a screen door so that made it a shorter height than traditional garage door.

Rhino-Rack Roof Mounted Steel Cargo Basket - 47" Long x 35" Wide - 165 lbs
Greetings, I am giving these items 3? Because I was offered alternative products that did not fit together. Originally, I intended to purchase a roof rack cargo basket type and a spare tire holder from Yakima manufacturer that go well together, but one of them wasn’t in stock. So, after 3 weeks waiting time, I was offered alternative items via etrailer website, and I accepted them…after all, they are the experts. I got the recommended items through UPS, then I assembled them by myself. The roof rack cargo basket fit well on my car, but the spare tire holder was not compatible with the roof rack cargo basket. They couldn’t be assembled together. I submitted my claim to return the spare tire holder. Now, I have not achieved my goal to carry my spare tire. Understanding the needs and expectations of your customers is critical to maximize customer satisfaction. I am sure both products are good, but they are not compatible together, even though they were manufactured by the same company. Distributors should know better! I returned one item and I hope to be refunded.
Great product. Easily puts together and I was able to install on our 2016 Toyota Highlander OEM roof rails with no problems. The mounting brackets slide to make for a easy fit. Have taken it on two long road trips with zero issues last summer one to the montains and one to the beach. Was able to fit our jogging stroller on in the basket. Had some heavy rain on one trip and seen no signs of water getting into the rails as that was a concern of mine when researching the different racks. The high sides allowed for easy tie downs for the weather bag we put the stroller in. Seemed to add a little road noise with nothing in it but that is to be expected when hauling things on the roof but the wind deflector seemed to keep the noise down. Easy to put on and off with a single person able to lift it. Great product, great fit for the car. Plan on using it for some more upcoming trips.

Curt Roof Mounted Cargo Basket - 64-1/2" Long x 39" Wide x 7-1/4" Tall - 150 lbs
I only use the roof rack for vacations because they make cars so small on the interior now a days. It handles quite a bit of luggage. Including two big size luggage and two small is how I travel. Make sure to get water proof covers and good straps. I stopped every 3 hours to make sure load was secure and drove over 700 miles without any issues. The rack will make whistle noise because of the wind passing through the bars but I just toned it out and blasted the radio . The product is great and sturdy easy on and easy off. My only complaint is putting on the wind guard. I couldn’t figure it out because the instructions have poor information on the wind plate. Also it took two deliveries to receive the product due to my first delivery being opened/ repackaged and missing parts like keys. I returned it and got the product in a new package with no more issues. Customer service was very helpful also and communication was well organized. Make sure to order well in advance just incase you might have to send the product back because of packaging issues. Also product is easy to store without disassembly of the rack rails. I put it in my garage and it takes up no space. I hope this review helps someone. Thank you
Rhino Rack Roof Basket Review - 2018 Hyundai Tucson
Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Hyundai Tucson we're going to be test fitting the Rhino Rack roof mounted steel cargo basket, part number RMCB.The Rhino Rack rooftop cargo basket enables to carry your luggage, your sporting goods equipment or your camping gear on the roof of your vehicle and freeing up space inside your Tucson. There's plenty of space to store your gear and the straps do not come with this, although you can purchase them on etrailer.com.With everything installed, we're not going to have an issue of clearance between our hatch and the cargo basket. As you can see here, there's plenty of space. The overall dimensions of the rack are going to be 47 and 3/16 inches long by 35 and 3/8 inches wide by 5 and 1/2 inches deep, and has a carrying capacity of 165 pounds, but you always want to double check with your vehicle's manual to make sure your roof can withstand those weights and go by the lower number. The cargo basket has a nice aerodynamic shape to it, plus it has this fairing at the front and that's going to help cut down that noise while you drive. However, when you have a fully loaded cargo basket it more than likely will make some noise while you travel.Right now we have it installed on aero bars but this will also work on square or round elliptical and most factory roof racks. This does have padding at the bottom where it makes contact with the roof rack so it won't get scratched up or anything like that. It's a very simple installation where you have two screws on either side that tighten down and grip it around the roof rack itself. Now that we've gone over some of the features of the roof basket, let's go ahead and show you how it installs.

As you can see, there's plenty of space in between. The cargo basket has plenty of space to work with, with it being 44 inches long, by 39 inches wide, by seven inches tall. And while it doesn't come with the tie downs to strap everything in place, it does have plenty of tie down points with these rails all the way around the cargo basket to secure your gear. And with this, you do want to make sure the crossbar spread, that's the measurement from center to center, is going to at least be between 17-3/4 inches, and 24-3/4 inches.

Thule Roof Basket Review - 2018 Hyundai Tucson
Speaker 1: Today, on our 2018 Hyundai Tucson, we're going to be test fitting the Thule Canyon XT Roof Cargo Basket, part number TH859XT. The Thule Canyon is great for carrying your luggage, your sporting goods or camping equipment on the top of your roof, and freeing up space inside your Tucson, or just keeping whatever you don't want on the inside of your vehicle out of it, and you can strap it down and you're ready to go.While it doesn't come with the tie downs to secure it down into place, you can find these on eTrailer.com, but the basket itself comes with plenty of tie down points, these railings on the side and underneath, to secure your load down to make sure it doesn't move while you travel, and with everything installed as you see it here, it's not going to be an issue with hatch clearance, either. As you can see, plenty of space in between. The basket itself does have a aerodynamic shape to it, and that, coupled with the fairing that does come installed on it already, that's going to help cut down that wind noise and drag while you drive. Now, once you have everything off, it's going to cut it down even more so. However, once you have bulky items like this, you may still experience some noise. With it fully loaded like you see here, we have a carrying capacity of 150 pounds with the actual carrier itself. However, you always want to go by the vehicle's manufacturer's instructions as to how much weight you can put on your roof and go by the lowest measurement there. And there's plenty of space to store your gear with this having dimension measurements of 49 inches long by 40 inches wide by six inches tall at its highest point, and how this attaches to your roof rack system will have a simple clamp system here with turn knobs to tighten it down into place. Now, while we have this attached to aero bars right now, this will also work with square, round, elliptical and most factory roof rack systems.
What our customers are saying:
"I ordered the hitch on Monday morning and it was waiting for me when I got home at 4PM on Tuesday! My next purchase is a cargo carrier and you can bet where I'll be getting it from."
