When choosing a replacement leaf spring for your trailer suspension you will want to choose a leaf spring that is compatible with your hangers (double-eye or slipper spring) and that has the proper axle weight capacity rating.
Because leaf springs tend to flatten out as they get older and more worn out (making them longer), you're going to find that your measurements aren't the exact length of springs you'll use; it's most important to get close to the length while using the correct axle... view full answer...
Hello Troy, thanks for reaching out. I do have one potential option for you, but truth be told, there are not going to be any Coil-Rite kits that are "confirmed" to fit the springs in a 1969 AMC Rebel. Looking thru the Firestone catalogue, they only make one Coil-Rite kit for a 5" diameter spring. This would be Firestone part 6134 which is a 5" diameter 11" long type E spring. Unfortunately, this is not a kit we carry here at etrailer, so you would have to go directly thru Firestone to get one. view full answer...
