Video Transcript for Installation: Scrubblade Platinum Windshield Wiper Blade on a 2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer

Hey everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer. And today we have the replacement Scrubblade wipers for your 2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer. So we have a little storm coming up. There's gonna be a lot of rain, a lot of wind, and we wanna switch these wipers out with some Scrubblades, so that you have some scrubbing technologies to make sure that their in debris gets off of those windows. For your Chevrolet Trailblazer, you're going to need an 18 inch blade for the passenger side and a 24 inch blade for the driver's side. Here's a closeup of our Scrubblade, so you can see how it has the ridges on the blade.

This has their superior scrubbing technology. That way if you're on long road trips and you find a lot of bugs gets flattened on your windows, you know that this will help remove the debris. Let's compare it with their old wiper blade so you can see the difference in the shape and look of those blades. We are going to start by removing our old blades. So here we have our wiper blade.

Before you begin, please get a thick towel or even a piece of cardboard to go underneath because once you have that wiper blade released you do not want your arm hitting your windshields. Make sure it has some cushion. This car utilizes a 22 millimeter push button style arm. So you're gonna press on the button as you pull on the wiper blade. So notice that once you're out there just give it a little bit of force and remove it.

Now, these are the three pieces you are going to need for your installation. You have your wiper blade, you have your base plate, and then you have your specific adapter. So the first thing you're gonna do is to take off the current adapter on your wiper blade. Notice underneath how you have tabs. So push in on the tabs in order to remove the base.

Next, you have your base plate, so this base plate pushes into your wiper blade. So just like how the tabs were on the other adapter this will have tabs that are pushed out. Now get your adapter, this looks like it has wings, so you're gonna line that up over your wiper blade arm. Notice where the incline is, that's where you want facing out or facing your mirror for your passenger side. Anyways, this goes over your wiper blade arm and just pushes down into secure. It takes a little bit of force, so just double check that you have things lined up and push. The reason you need to angle it is so that you can have the wings slide into the adapter. So that's why we have it facing this direction. So if it helps, you can push those wings in. They'll also do that automatically once you line it up and push through. Notice how that push button is now up and that's how you know you've installed your wiper blade. Now we're going to operate our wiper blades. So with the water on, we'll see how they scrub. Everything looks really good. So it's always important to replace your wiper blades after wear and tear because you have weather, the sun, and just overall time causes that wear and tear to happen.
