Hello, neighbors. Steven here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at the Sylvania H1ST SilverStar Halogen Headlight Bulbs. Folks, these replace your standard equipment with these nice 55-watt halogen headlight bulb assemblies. As you can see, it's a single blade style. Be sure not to touch the bulb itself with your fingers.
The oil and grease can deteriorate the longevity of the bulb. So I'm trying to touch these as minimal as possible, but also give you a nice view of them. Now, you will get two of these. They're gonna produce a wider and brighter beam and a defined edge at distance with greater contrast. The 4,000 kelvin color temperature is gonna emit a sharper, more balanced white color than the standard 3,200 kelvins that are out there.
It is recommended you replace both of them at the same time. That way, the color temperatures, the color of the beam, all that kind of stuff matches up. You don't want two headlights that are uneven or anything like that. It is legal for on-road use, and it does meet all DOT regulations for bulbs. Well, folks, that's gonna wrap it up.
Just a quick look today at our SilverStar H1ST bulbs. I'm Steven. Thanks for watching.
I’m a big fan of these bulbs. They have a bit more of a daylight color to them. The factory bulbs were more of a warm color. The brightness difference was noticeable immediately, especially in the garage. We took a test drive and noticed the difference a little bit, but I’m still happy with them.
In the attached photo, I replaced the passenger side light first to show the color difference.
The install on a 2019 Kia Sorento was extremely easy. You just twist the bulb cover off, twist the socket out and pull out the bulb, then do everything in reverse. Very easy.
