Specs:
Lumens are used to measure the amount of usable light that is put out by a light source. Raw lumens represent the number of lumens that the manufacturer claims the LEDs are capable of producing. It does not include the light's drive method or the amount of light lost from the lens or reflector. Effective lumens take these factors into account and represent the number of lumens that are actually produced by the complete light assembly, not just the amount of light that the diodes are capable of producing. Stable lumens builds off the idea of effective lumens by measuring the amount of light produced after 30 minutes of usage, or once the diodes have reached their average operating temperature. These bulbs have a 3,000 raw lumen capacity per bulb and produce 1,995 effective lumens per bulb. The stable lumen capacity per bulb is 1,550 lumens.

Ellen: Hey everyone. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com and we're going to be taking a look at the replacement LED bulbs for your fog lights. Now, these are a PSX26W style bulbs, which is going to be a plug and play application, really easy to get installed, no cutting or splicing required for this. Some vehicles may require a anti-flicker harness. If you have a PWM or CAN bus equipped vehicle, you will need that harness. It is sold separately. You can find that using part number that's there on the screen.
And you can get that either as a kit or just separately. So if you're not sure if you need it, you can always pick it up later. But sometimes it can be a little bit less expensive to get the kit together. Easiest way to figure out if it's going to be necessary for your vehicle is to use our fit guide here at etrailer.com. Put in your year, make and model, and then go from there. So as far as the lights, they are going to be at a precision optic design light to throw that light a little bit farther, helps improve visibility.
It also is a cool white color. So again, helps to let our eyes see better in the dark. That cool white spectrum is just an easier light for our eyes to pick up. So I'm going to turn this on so you can see that for yourself and then turn the lights out in the studio. You can see a nice cool white color similar to sunlight or daylight.Turn my lights back on.
I kind of moved that around too much and my wires came out. But that gives you an idea of what it should look like. Of course, once it's actually in place, it might be a little bit brighter since it'll actually have the reflection and refraction from the housing. As far as the specs with this, it is, again, a plug and play application. It is IP67 rated so that means that it's going to be protected from any kind of ingress from water or dust. It's going to have a raw lumen output of 3,000 lumens per bulb.
The effective lumen output is 1,995 or just under 2,000 lumens. That's really the number to pay more attention to since that's more of the real-world application for the lights. Raw lumen output is in a perfect world, this has the potential of giving out that much light. After about 30 minutes, it does drop down to 1,550 lumens, but that's still going to be plenty bright for seeing what's going on and being able to use those fog lights. The color temperature, again, that's going to be 6,500 Kelvin, which is that cool white color. The wattage per bulb is 16.5 Watts, power draw at 13 volts is 1.3 amps per bulb. Operating voltage is 7.5 volts to 16 volts. And it does have a two year limited warranty. And that's really about all there is to it for our look at these bulbs. I hope this video has been helpful. Again, I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com. Thanks for watching.
