Rolled up Access Limited tonneau

The Limited Edition tonneau has all the features of the original Access cover, plus a half-dozen extras. This truck bed cover rolls up so that you can haul bulky items and rolls down to shield and secure your vehicle's bed and cargo. The custom-fit tonneau sits 1-1/2" above your truck bed and keeps air from getting caught by the tailgate, thus reducing drag. That can improve your gas mileage by up to 10 percent. And the exclusive Access Slantback fit angles toward your tailgate to give your truck a stylish, streamlined look.

Rolled up Access Limited Edition tonneau cover secured with straps

Velcro closures on the sides help seal the cover to your truck box and allow you to peel it back quickly for easy access. The tonneau stores neatly behind your cab, secured by premium storage straps that are designed to keep the cover from rubbing against the cab.

XT Dial tension adjuster for Access Limited tonneau cover

Customize the cover tension by turning the XT-Dial easy-grip tension adjuster at the front of the cover, near your cab. The cover is constructed of double coated, reinforced UV-blocking vinyl, so it won't fade in the hot sun. The material stays flexible down to -40 F and won't shrink, regardless of the temperature. Black powder coated aluminum bows line the underside of the tonneau and act as ribbing that supports the cover and makes it easy to roll up.

Premium Trail Seal tailgate gasket for Access Limited Edition tonneau cover Element weather seal on Access Limited Edition tonneau

The Element weather seal at the cab end and a reinforced vinyl flap at the tailgate help to keep out dirt, rain, snow, and ice. The premium TrailSeal tailgate gasket runs along the sides and bottom of your tailgate opening to help eliminate gaps and block out the elements.

The contoured, black powder coated aluminum tonneau rails resist rust. They sit inside your truck bed side rails so that you can still use stake-pocket-mounted accessories, such as a ladder rack or tie-down anchors. Easily install the rails on a truck with an under-the-rail, drop-in bed liner. Over-the-rail liners can be cut to allow room for the installation clamps.

Tite Bite clamp with Tie-Down Ring for Access Limited Edition tonneau cover

The tonneau's rails attach easily to your truck bed side rails using Tight Bite clamps. The specially designed teeth on these clamps seize the integrated ridges in the rails, ensuring a firm grip. And the clamps are fitted with tie-down rings that help you secure your cargo.

Auto Latch 2 for Access Limited tonneau cover

Once the tonneau cover is unrolled and in place, the AutoLatch II dual locking system automatically engages 2 locks - 1 on each side - to hold the tonneau closed. To unlatch the cover, simply pull the cord for easy, one-hand operation. And locking the cover won't interfere with your tailgate - open and close it as usual or add a tailgate lock (sold separately) to get secure storage for your cargo. Cover your assets with this tonneau from Access.

AA Battery LED Light for Access Limited tonneau cover

Along with the AutoLatch II, tie-down rings, and TrailSeal gasket, the Access Limited tonneau also includes 3 other handy extras. The battery-operated LED light illuminates your truck bed, saving you from fumbling around in the dark. This 18" long, flexible strip features 30 bright while LED lights, a simple peel-and-stick design, and 3 automatic shut-off options.

EZ Retriever II Pole for Access Limited tonneau cover

The EZ Retriever II helps you reach cargo without having to climb into your truck bed. This 5' long pole has a hook on the end to snag tools, groceries, and other items with ease.

Cover Care Spray for Access Limited tonneau cover

And the 2 oz. bottle of Cover Care cleaner keeps the tonneau's vinyl top looking clean and new.

Video Transcript for Access Limited Edition Soft Roll-Up Tonneau Cover Installation - 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500

Hi there Silverado owners. Today on your 2019 Chevrolet Silverado, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install Access's limited edition soft tonneau cover. And this is what our tonneau cover looks like when it's installed. It's a soft vinyl tonneau cover that has support beams that run across it, so you can still set some items here on top. It's also going to help keep the cover rigid, and there are tensioner inside to keep our fabric pulled tight around the frame, so you always get this smooth tonneau look. This is similar to Access's other soft roll up tonneau covers, but has a few additional features. Like all the tonneau covers, we have a seal up at the bulkhead, at the front, and our soft cover goes down over the side so our water's going to run down and not into our bed.

But we also have additional seals all the way around our tailgate here, all along the bottom and sides, keeping our interior completely enclosed and sealed off from the elements outside. If you need more access to the back of your truck bed, we can roll it up by pulling down on the release cord here at the back, flipping up and then just rolling up the tonneau cover. If you'll notice here at the front we have adjustable buckles. We can use these to hold our tonneau cover in the open position here. They simply roll around and hook into the attachment point on the other side. There's one of these on each side to keep our cover secure. Some of the other additional upgraded features it has are the tow hook loops that it has on each of the clamps that holds our tonneau cover rails on.

You'll also see our easy reach bar here, so if our tonneau cover is fully closed and we have any items in the back there, we don't need to unroll it. We can simply take this, hook around the back and slide it to us. When we're done using it, it just hooks back into place on the clamps.Another accessory that it comes with, but our customer opted not to install it in the bed of this truck, is a bed light. It's got 30 LEDs on the strip here and we get a nice soft white light that will illuminate the bed of our truck. This is particularly useful at night, especially when you've got the tonneau cover fully closed.

There are three different settings on the light that are adjusted inside with a little switch. The adjustments vary how long the light stays on before it automatically turns itself off.The spring loaded latches here at the end ensure that our coverage stays latched once we lock it into place, and the angled edge will automatically push itself open when we go to snap it shut. Once you close up your tonneau cover, your tailgate can still close, and it seals itself nice and tight all the way around. And if you have a locking tailgate on your Silverado, you add an extra layer of protection to all the cargo you have here in the back. We'll begin our installation in the bed of our truck by taking our side rails and installing them on the vehicle. When going to position your side rail up, there's a few things you want to look at.

You have your hook and loop side and your soft side right here with the little cushion pad on it, the cushion pad is going to go up against your side rail and we also want to make sure the striker here is at the back of the vehicle. So we're going to position this here. We're going to try to get it as level as possible with our side rail. Make it nice and flush. We can then take our clamps, and we're going to put them in place. You'll also notice that there's a ring on there. These rings come with your kit and you can put them on your clamps and use those as tie-downs. We're going to take the clamps and position those over the side rail and the bed rail here, so we're going to loosen it up a little bit more. We'll then take our clamp like this with the ring on top of the bolt. This will go around the backside of your rail there and the other side will go around the front. If it's still too tight like we've got here, you can loosen it up some more. We've got to loosen it just a little bit more.Once we've got it around there, we want to just double check to make sure you're still flush and then we're just going to snug it down. Now you can position it higher or lower, you want your teeth to be in the grooves here. Having it higher or lower does affect the angle of your rail. So as we put these on here, we may have to slightly raise or lower it to get everything nice and level in the end. But right now we're just going to snug it down a little bit just so it clamps this in place to make it easier to get the rest of our clamps on. We're just using a half inch wrench to snug that down. Then we're going to position one clamp towards the middle and then one clamp towards the front. Where it sticks out here we're not going to be able to get our teeth behind it, so you've got to go in an area where it's going to fit, and we want to be as close to the front and rear as possible. And then our middle clamp, we're just going to try to find the center, it's about here above our wheel well and we're going to position this clamp. Now that you've got all your, your clamps positioned on there, we want to make sure that it's level, so this surface here should be level with our bedrail. We just want to look down to make sure that they are level, and they look pretty level there. If your rail is kicking up like this, that means that you've got your clamp position too high, and you need to lower it down. And vice versa, if it's angled down like this, you've got it too low and you need to raise it up. So you can just lift these up or down to make subtle adjustments in the level here. Once you're satisfied and you've got this side all level, we're going to repeat the exact same process to get the rail installed on the opposite side.Next we're going to install the seal across our bulkhead here. Now since our vehicle has a spray-in bed liner, you're not going to get very good adhesion with the double sided tape that comes included on your seal, and water could potentially also leak past since it's not very smooth. So we're just going to take some sand paper and just right down the edge here, we're just going to smooth this out so that we will have a good sealing surface. If you don't have a spray in, you can just put it right onto the painted surface of your truck bed.Now that we've got our surface prepared, before we put the bulkhead on, we want to make sure we clean the surface. So we're going to use one of the alcohol pads that comes in your kit, and just wipe all that down. You'll want to wipe this down regardless if you had to prepare it like we did and clean up the spray-in bed liner or if you just got a painted surface, no matter what. So now we're going to start peeling back the adhesive backing and putting our seal in place. You want to put it up all the way against the seal here at the front, and then we're just going to work it all the way across. You'll also notice here that our seal is kind of an L shaped, we want the taller side to face towards the rear of the truck. Now that we've got it run all the way across here, you may have a little bit of extra, so we're just going to trim that off with our razor knife. We're now going to seal up the rear of our bed. Take your seal, the little precut small ones, and hold it up here to the side, and then you get an idea of where you need to cut it, so right there, and then we're just going to take our scissors, and we're just going to cut out a notch from this, just like that. Now you can see here that it's going to fit up in there. So we're going to peel off the adhesive backing, and stick it to the underside of our tonneau cover rails. We're then going to repeat this same process on the other side. We're now going to take the seals for our tailgate and run those around. This is going to have to be cut, so you are going to have to just kind of hold it up there and measure it, and then cut it to length. It's going to go on the side as well as on the bottom, so when you close your tailgate, it's going to seal all the way around the back here. So what you're going to see is up to the side here, we've got where it pushes in this round part. This is going to stick out towards the back, so when, when we close our tailgate, the tailgate's going to push into this. We're also going to put some here on the bottom between the tailgate and the surface down here. So this is going to go down here like this, just below our corrugation going all the way across. So I'm going to go ahead and measure all this out and get these put on.Another thing to keep in mind is that if you have the spray-in bed liner like we do, if you're putting the sealing surface on it, you have to sand it smooth before the adhesive will properly stick to it. Here across the bottom, we didn't have spray in bed liner to worry about, so we just used the alcohol pads to ensure that it was clean for good sealing. For the sides we're just going from the bottom up, pretty much just connecting from seal to seal. With all our seals in place, we want to check our tailgate, make sure that it closes. When you close it, you want to make sure that we're contacting the seals all the way around. And we saw there that it collapsed the seal for at the top, the sides and at the bottom. So we know that our truck bed is completely sealed off from the outside. We can now install our tensioner. You'll want to look at the tensioner. This one here has an L on it for the driver's side for left. The passenger side one doesn't have anything on it, so just look for the L so that way you know you got the driver's side. It will slide into the slot here like this. And we'll take the one and a quarter inch bolt and a flat washer, it'll run down through the top and go into the bolts. You want to make sure you've got this end away from the little flap here and facing towards the outside like this.It may look like we're putting it on the passenger side here, but that's because we've got it flipped upside down so we can put these on. When we go to put the cover here on the vehicle, it's actually going to be flipped over the other way. So we just need this to thread in there. We don't want to tighten it down yet, because we need to be able to slide it so we can adjust it appropriately. So now I've got this one on, we're going to do the same thing on the opposite side.We can now take our assembly here and we're going to set it in place. This is going to be the part that goes towards the cab here, so we're going to set it on there, and we want to make sure that these here go underneath our side rails on each side, so that's why we wanted those to still be loose so we could adjust those to go underneath the side rails. Now that we've got our tonneau cover sat on our rails there, we can take these, slide them under, we'll take the shorter bolts, flat washer and nut that comes in our kit. We're going to take the bolts and go from the top down through the hole on our side rail, and we're going to line that up with the hole in our tensioner here. So we're just going to bring that over, slide it in.Once you've got your holes lined up, we're going to drop the bolt in from the top down through our rail and the tensioner, then on the bottom we're going to place a flat washer followed by a nut. We're going to do the same thing on the opposite side, and then we can come back and tighten down this hardware. We'll then tighten it down with the half inch wrench and socket, or just two wrenches. We also want to make sure that our bar is even all the way across. So check the gap on this side and then check the gap on the other side and make them so they're even. And I already know that my other side's already up against the rail all the way, so I can just start sliding it this way a little bit. That's probably pretty close, so I'm going to run and check my other side, if they're the same gap, then we can finish tightening our hardware down. We can now also tighten down the tensioner bolts that we put into the tonneau cover on the bulkhead rail. Now we can unroll our tonneau cover and check our fit. And now here at the back we've tucked the bars in under the hooks here on each side, and we're just going to snap it down into place. We can then close our lift gate and make sure everything seals up and closes right. Everything seemed to seal up properly. So we'll just double check our adjustment and then we're all set.So we've already verified that our cover fits and everything. We also had a reach tool that comes in our kit, which allows us to pull things out from our bed without having to climb up in there. There's brackets for this so you can hold it up. So we're just going to get an idea of how long it is, where we want to position it in the bed. Now that we've got that idea, these are the brackets that hold it on. So now we're going to take our brackets and we're going to put them onto our rails here. They just slide into place. We know that our arm is about that long, so that'll be a pretty good position there. We're going to put the other one over here and it is recommended by the manufacturer to have them about 18 inches apart. So we're going to go ahead and just double check that and see that we're pretty close. Looks like we can come a little closer together here. That's about 18 inches there. So now we can just go back and tighten them down using a Phillips screwdriver. With both the screws tightened down, we can snap our bar in place, and we're all set.At this point the only thing left is to install the LED light that comes included with your kit. Our customer has opted not to install the light here in the bed, because he already has bed lights from the factory on his truck. But if you did want to install it, it's pretty simple. There is adhesive backing on the module which has the on and off button on it and there's adhesive backing on the LED light strip. So wherever you want to put it in your bed, you can just peel off that backing and stick it in place. You want to remember the same rules apply for this backing as anything else. So if you've got a spray-in bed liner like this, you would want to sand the surface smooth before putting it on. There are also a mounting holes located on each side, so you could use self tapping screws to hold it in place if you want. There are no hardware screws that come with it, so you'd have to provide your own. With our tonneau cover rolled up, we've got full bed access. If you've got any gear back there, you don't want your cover to unroll. So to keep it in place in its storage position, we've got buckles that we can hook into. You can adjust those to the appropriate length that you'll need to keep it nice and tight. Just going to give that a little adjust there, and click it in place. We can do the same thing on the opposite side, as there's one of these for each side.Once you're satisfied with everything and you've got it all installed, we can go back and finalize the torque on all of our clamps. You'll find your torque specifications in your instructions. And that completes our installation of Access's limited edition soft tonneau cover on your 2019 Chevrolet Silverado.

Thoroughly impressed with this cover after 1 year. Keeps bed dry, performs great going down the road too. The light and grab bar are a great bonus. Looks great still, no fading. Get compliments on it all the time since you don’t ever see them on OBS step-side trucks. Highly recommend etrailer for this product.

This cover is everything I expected and then some. It was easy to install and adjust. It's a solid cover with built in support bars that keeps the cover tight. it keeps my contents dry yet rolls up when I need the entire bed and the best part is I can still see out the back window (unlike some of the tri-folds). Highly recommended.

by:

Packaged for shipment with attention to details like making sure the cover was wraped well fro transit. Fit the truck like a glove, Looks great on the truck. Instructions were clear and easy to understand.

It was relatively easy to install. Quality looks good!

by:

The tonneau by Access is great as usual with good fit and quality. The tonneau is capable of handling high tension which helps prevent pooling. There is barely any rain water standing. The effect is almost like a solid surface. Caution on the ladder racks you pair them with though as the rack may prevent the tonneau from gaining maximum tension wich will cause more pooling than desired. I paired the with the recommended TracRac for the sliding adjustable rails. They do fit however the bulky base rail of the TracRac is too close to the sides of the tonneau and prevents my fingers from getting in there to pull the tonneau tight on the velcro sides. It's doable but very time consuming and not ideal if you open and close the tonneau frequently. I would propose that Access make some design tweaks to resolve this and better complement the TracRac base rails since it is one of the few racks that have a high load capacity. Other than that the tonneau cover is the best quality I have used for a roll up. Still have the same one on my 03 Dakota since 2008.

by:

This is my second Access cover and love them. After 6 years the first one needed new velcro and got excellent customer service. This cover came with a very sturdy hook to retrieve stuff that slides forward in the truck bed. I have found this is handy for all kinds of things. Wouldn't wan't to be without it.
These tops roll up very easy when needed and keep everything clean and dry when rolled out. Most versatile top for me.

by:

This product had to be direct shipped from the manufacturer. I was worried it wouldn't arrive on time prior to my trip. No worries needed. Came in well before I expected it. This cover fits better than other covers I had on past trucks. Etrailer comes through again. I have never had an issue with any of my orders from Etrailer for the last 15 years.

by:

Unfortunately I a unable to give an accurate review of the cover due to a vehicle fire shortly after installation. The time I had the cover it worked well except the side clamps would loosen.

by:

The cover was easy to install. One of the clamps was slightly bent from shipping or mfr damage, but still managed to clamp effectively. Overall, great look and easy install.

by:

I've had this tonneau cover for over a year now and it looks and functions like new. Highly recommend this tonneau.

by:

Still works and looks great after one year! Very pleased with our tonneau as it has met all of our expectations during our full time RV travels.
