If you move between hauling gear and keeping things covered, this setup makes it simple. The UltraGroove retracts with a twist of the handle under the rear plate, and the tension spring pulls the cover into its canister in one smooth motion. A built-in pull strap helps you slide it back out and lock it every 12 inches. You can leave part of the bed open for taller cargo while keeping tools or a cooler covered near the cab.

When you need to carry more than what fits in the bed, the T-slot rails on this cover make it easy. They run the full length of the side rails so you can mount racks or accessories above your bed without taking the cover off. It pairs cleanly with roof or ladder rack systems, letting you haul bikes, kayaks, or work gear up top while still keeping what’s underneath secure.

Heavy rain or snow won’t catch this cover off guard. The UltraGroove uses multiple layers of protection—rubber rail seals, corner endcaps, and drain tubes at both the front and rear of the bed—to keep water out. The canister channels runoff through tubes that exit through factory drain holes, so water doesn’t sit in your rails or pool under the cover. That setup has proven to hold up even through car washes and storms.

The deck combines rigid aluminum slats wrapped in a bonded vinyl top layer for strength that feels solid but still has that smooth, soft-cover look. The matte black finish sits about an inch above the bed rails for a low-profile look that matches modern truck styling. It’s built to resist UV fade and sagging so it keeps its shape and color over time.

You won’t need to drill or cut anything to mount it. The canister sets at the front of the bed, and the side rails clamp directly to the bed rails using two clamps per side with built-in kickstands to help level things out. Once tightened down, it sits square and seals properly—no guesswork or extra tools needed.

Looks amazing! Your truck looks like it came with the cover- looks right at home :) Do you have a hitch in the bed that you use the tonneau cover to secure?

I enjoy it very much. I added extra foam to seal around tail gate. After a good rain or thru the car wash, it still doesnt leak. I highly recommend this product.

This product is great, I love this tonneau cover and has work flawlessly. When Im towing I can pull it closed 1 click to help with the wind and it has been great. I appreciate Etrailer with helping with this purchase and we are looking to upgrade our truck and when we purchase our new one I want to purchase this same cover again. It does take away alittle from the bed but the 5th wheel hitch in summer pretty much makes my bed useless anyway.

This is one of those purchases that if you had it to do again, you probably wouldn’t!!! Fairly complicated to install with the instructions given, and I’m pretty capable of installing anything. Anytime you park, you have to be sure you’re not under a tree that might small pieces onto the tonneau or it gets stuck in the rails and is hard to open or close. Also, believe it or not, less than a month after I purchased it and installed it, someone stole one of the hold-down brackets and neither eTrailer or the company could come up with a replacement. I had to fashion one myself! Most of the time, the top is hard to open or close. Wish I had purchased a canopy instead!!!

I reached out to my contact at Pace Edwards, and he was able to give me some advise on how to find and prevent the leaking issue. He recommended recreating the water by using a hose or bucket of water while recording the inside of the cover. If water is leaking from one side of the cover, a simple adjustment could be the issue. If the water is leaking from up near the box, my contact recommended using silicon on the gaps or some weather stripping.

Hi Tim, thank you for the very detailed review. This will definitely help other customers that may experience some of the same issues during their installation. I sent your photos to Pace Edwards to see what they think about the shifting. I will be in touch.

Yes, one year later this cover is great and even with hard Northeast winter this winter it held up with no issues. Love this cover for our 5th wheel while towing.
