Features to know about

Keep Moving Through Deep Snow: Twist Links Bite in for Solid Traction

When the road disappears under deep snow, these twist-link chains keep you going. The rounded links dig in and grab where tires alone would spin, giving you excellent traction on packed snow and good grip on ice. The ladder pattern helps you get started without slipping and gives steady braking when you need to slow down on slick grades.

Reliable Starts and Stops on Slippery Grades: Ladder Pattern Keeps You in Control

Icy or snowy climbs and descents are easier to handle with the ladder-style layout. The cross chains line up evenly across the tread so power transfers straight to the ground. That even contact helps reduce wheel slip during takeoff and braking, making it easier to stay in control on steep or uneven snow-covered roads.

Spend Less Time Tightening Chains: Built-In Cams Give a Snug Fit

Getting chains tight enough can take time, especially in the cold. The built-in cam tighteners make it simple to dial in the perfect fit. Just turn the cams with the included wrench until snug and you’re ready to roll. For those who want to lock it down even more, optional rubber or chain adjusters can be added for extra security.

Strong Enough for Repeated Winter Use: Low-Carbon Steel Stands Up to the Elements

These chains are built from low-carbon steel for strength and durability. The material holds up well to repeated use in winter conditions without giving up flexibility. The rounded links also help cut down on jarring compared to square-link designs, so the ride feels smoother while still giving you dependable bite when traction matters most.

Built for Heavy Dual-Tire Setups: Complete 1-Axle Set for 22-1/2" to 24-1/2" Tires

Each chain fits over both tires on one side of a dual-wheel axle, giving you full coverage where it counts. The set includes two dual-tire chains—one for the driver’s side and one for the passenger’s side—rated for a maximum speed of 30 mph. A reusable canvas bag is included to keep everything organized and ready for the next storm.

Confirming Your Fit

If you know your tire size, you may think you won't need to test fit your new chains. But there are a lot of variables that can affect whether chains will fit your specific tires, including your tire type, the amount of air pressure in the tire, the amount of tread wear, and the tire manufacturer.

We recommend that you order chains as early in the season as possible to give yourself plenty of time to test fit the chains and reorder if needed. This way, you won't be stuck out in the cold later with snow chains that don't fit.

You can test fit these chains in your garage or driveway, but you'll want to wait until there's snow on the ground to actually drive with them. Likewise, if you're out in the snow and come across bare pavement, you'll want to pull over and remove the chains. These chains can cause damage to the bare pavement, your garage floor, or your vehicle if they break from the wear of riding on a harsh surface.

Video Transcript for Detailed Breakdown of the Titan Chain Tire Chains w Cams

Hi, everyone. It's Evangeline here at etrailer. And today, we'll be taking a look at our Titan Chains snow with tire chains with the twist links that are designed for your dual tires right here at etrailer. For your duallies or for your trucks to have those dual tires, it's ideal to get those tire chains that's designed for them. That way, you have that extra traction all throughout your axle. So, this is gonna be a tire chain that fits around those two tires.

It's going to be similar in design to the single tire chain but with an extra feature, which is gonna be a third connection that goes through the tires. While there's a bunch of different tire chains for different situations, in this video, I'll explain the differences between those different tire chains' designs. And I'll also show you a special trick that I do in order to install that third connection, which can be tricky for those dual trucks. But first off, let's talk about this twist design we have here. Notice how these chains are twist chains, meaning they're twisted into each other.

That provides a little extra comfort compared to square chains of a similar shape, but they also are super useful if you have a lot of deep snow as well as a lot of mud. Now, if you're expecting a bit more ice than you are expecting snow, what you might prefer then are square chains or these twist chains but then they have a V-bar or cleats on the end. So, we have those here at etrailer as well. That way, you can get your different chains depending on the different types of weather conditions you're expecting. Now, these are going to be made of a low-carbon steel.

And the focus there is going to be grip as well as durability. So, as you're driving around, the carbon steel will help with the ice as well as with the rocks and give you that traction. Now, some other tire chains use a manganese nickel alloy and those are more focused on corrosion resistance. So, in that case, if you are using chains like these made of low-carbon steel, I do recommend just double checking them in between seasons before you put them on your tire to make sure they have not corroded. There's actually two types of these tire chains.

One has a twist link without cam tensioners. And the other one, which is this one, has the twist link with cam tensioners. So, this gives you that extra traction as you install your tire chain. And you also have these extra rubber tensioners too. So, these are sold separately. Not included with your tire chain. I highly recommend getting them though, because as you drive around and if your chains start to shift, this will shift with them and maintain the constant tension. So, when you get your chains, you are going to get two of these canvas bags. So, these canvas bags are technically reusable, but not as long-lasting as a soft shell or a hard shell some other tie chains come in. So, when you do put your chains in there, you can use a rubber band or a zip tie to keep it nice and tight. Now, this is still helpful for keeping it in your truck for whenever you need to use it. You're also going to get this cam tightener. So, this is the tool that you use for your cams in order to loosen or tighten them down. But I also use this to make the connection in between our tires. Let's take a look at that trick. So, compared to your single tire chains, your dual tire chains need to make three connections. So, one and two for the front and the back, and the new one is going to be the third, which goes in between your tire. So, this can be pretty tricky. Sometimes you're gonna have to drive over it and then reach around your tires, or put the chains on and then drive. But what I do so I don't have to drive back and forth is I utilize the tool that comes with the your tire chains that have those cam tensioners. So, what I do is I put the link that needs to be connected right over your cam tensioner and use this to feed it through your tires. So, using the tool, just pull the chains through and then you can connect the other hook. So, you still may wanna drive over your chains and then go out and make those connections, but this is gonna be a nice and easy way to do this if you're stuck in one spot. And that right there was a look at the Titan Chains snow tire chains with the twist links for your dual tires. And these also have those cam tensioners right here at etrailer..

Received the chains all good, put then on drove three times on them and chains bent and broke. And was only on pavement once and for couple feet.

by:

Never had a chance to use them as last winter in Salt Lake City was never severe enough to use them. Not even the local canyons had enough snow to pull them out.

by:

The staff at etrailer were great to work with items arrived just as stated going to Colorado between xmas and new year's hope we don't need them but have them just incase Thanks etrailer for the prompt service

by:

chains broke in first snow they are cheap junk do not buy

by:

Service was excellent.. Needed the tire chains in a rush. They were more than happy to make sure the chains were shipped and delivered to us in the time frame needed. Excellent customer service.

by:

Wished I had taken the advice and practiced installing them BEFORE I GOT ON ICE/SNOW but beyond that, I was very thankful to have them and when this set wears out, I'll buy them again. 2022 Ram 3500 dually

by:

eTrailer didn't have my item in stock and I needed it almost ASAP. They quickly found another compatible item for me. Great customer service.

by:

They are what I ordered and timely delivery. I have not had the opportunity to use them yet, and will update in 2 months if I have anything to add. etrailer contacted me thinking there may be a delay in delivery. Turns out there wasn’t, but I appreciate the immediate contact and personal care. etrailer for the win - again!

by:

I can't actually review the product because I've not yet had a chance to use it. They look good and each set of chains was packed in its own store sack. I expected to use them in 2 weeks when we take the motor home out on a trip, but the mild winter has all the snow melting.
E-Trailer's service, on the other hand, is superb. I've bought several items from them and all were of good quality and delivered quickly.

by:

Absolutely outstanding customer service. Everyone I have ever talked with has been respectful, courteous, and helpful. The snow chains are good to go and will help me keep traction, but it is the people that made it happen for me.

by:

I did a lot of research for these tire chains the trailer had the best price by far! I cannot believe how fast my package showed up at my house lightning fast shipping! Very satisfied customer!

by:

Much like insurance, this is an item I hope to never use. However, we need to carry these, and etrailer had these at a good price. I especially appreciate the videos and tips & tricks etrailer publishes on their website.

by:

We bought a new Dodge 3500 Dually and needed new snow chains for it. We searched the internet and found etrailer had the best product and price and quick free shipping to my front door. I hope that I don't need to use them this year, but if I do, I know that I received a great deal!
Thank you!

by:

Received one chain, only one. Chains for all tires ordered yet received one single chain for one side of dually only. This is extremely bad for your business

by:

I am using on an F350 plow truck and the difference between chained or not is like night and day. After two seasons of use I have yet to become stuck in heavy wet snow or ice. The limiting factor wasn't lack of power but traction and that is no longer an issue. The chains are easy to install, adjust and they fit well. I am pleased with the product the price and the company.

by:

Again, e-Trailer comes thru with tire chains delivered within 3 days with standard shipping. Since I didn't want fitting them on the tires the first time in the middle of a snowstorm on the edge of a road somewhere, I put them on yesterday in the shop. Perfect fit. The product appears well made. Actually I hope I never have to use them but traveling to Montana for Christmas one never knows.

by:

Haven't had to use the tire chains I bought yet. The only problem I had when I got the order was the plastic container that the trailer chains were in was broken.
Hope to use them soon.
Thank you for asking,

by:

I purchased these for a trip last Feb. I made to Gunnison, CO for my dually just incase I needed them. I never had to, so I do not know how good they could have been, but they did give me added confidence for the trip. They are made very well, I like the cam action that secures them to the tires, I am sure they would have worked very well had I needed them. I give them 4 stars for construction, would most likely gave them 5 stars had I used them.

by:

The shipping delayed me back a few days of work, but appreciated the correction of the situation most importantly

by:

More detailed installation instructions would really help. I spent almost 2 hours putting these on and they are still loose even with the rubber tensioner. Pictures with text would be greatly appreciated. The chains are of high quality and should last a long time. Just need better instructions.

by:

Got what I ordered. Come on winter so I can test out the tire chains

by:

VERY HAPPY WITH PARTS WE HAVE ORDERED ALL FIT, WILL ORDER AGAIN FROM THIS COMPANY THANK YOU

by:

Purchased this for a trip to Alaska thinking I might encounter some bad weather, however, I didn’t. I did do a test fitting and everything worked as expected. Fastest shipping of any company I’ve dealt with online. Excellent customer support.

by:

Have not used them in snow yet but they fit perfectly on my dually 235/80rx17 tires.

by:

Bought these for our 2003 GMC Sierra 3500 extended cab, cab and chassis style dump Truck, equipped with 2016 Western MVP Plow. We live 20 minutes west of Whitefish Mt, where it snow`s heavy and roads and drives tend to do the Thaw/Freeze cycle pretty much everyday during the winter. I plow on a small scale and just locally, but the drives I plow are kinda steep and slippery, but with these chains on, my Truck is an instant HalfTrack vehicle and nothin` stops it. From the start receiving them, installation after checking out the online video, was a snap. Lay em out, cinch em up, turn the cam lock`s, take a grinder with a cutoff wheel and cut off the extra chain to the length my tires require, and I was unstoppable. Really enjoy these. You can also purchase the rubber circle they sell to keep tension throughout the outside wheel surface of the chain. I just use rubber bungy straps and clinch the metal "S" clips with a 4" channelocks. Oh yeah, I recommend these! And if you don`t drive over 30mph and you operate locally around the area you live, it`s a cheap alternative to buying Tire`s with studs, and you don`t have to swap tire`s out every season, or own a seperate set of studded tires and extra set of wheel`s. Good Luck this Winter....
