    • Rubber or chain adjusters (sold separately) are recommended for a tight fit
  • Constructed of low-carbon steel for strength and durability

  • Fits: 15" - 19-1/2" tires (for exact sizes, see below)
  • Link thickness: 8 mm (0.312")
  • Quantity: 2 tire chains
  • 30-Day limited warranty

Note: To determine whether you can use tire chains on your vehicle, or if they might affect your ABS/EPS functionality, consult your owner's manual.

These Titan Chain mud chains are great off-road chains. The heavy-duty, oversized cross chains and heavier-than-normal side chains are strong and durable, giving you a heavy-duty option for nearly any terrain. If you find yourself in a mud-digging situation, these chains are going to help give your vehicle purchase to pull out and keep moving. If you're more likely to see seriously icy conditions where you live, you may instead want a chain with square or V-bar links that can really bite into the ice for more traction.

Confirming Your Fit

If you know your tire size, you may think you won't need to test fit your new chains. But there are a lot of variables that can affect whether chains will fit your specific tires, including your tire type, the amount of air pressure in the tire, the amount of tread wear, and the tire manufacturer. You'll also need to know how much clearance is in your wheel well, which you can determine by measuring from your tire tread to the sidewall of the wheel well.

We recommend that you order chains as early in the season as possible to give yourself plenty of time to test fit the chains and reorder if needed. This way, you won't be stuck out in the cold later with snow chains that don't fit.

You can test fit these chains in your garage or driveway, but you'll want to wait until you're out in the wild to actually drive with them. Likewise, if you're out in the mud and come across bare pavement, you'll want to pull over and remove the chains. These chains can cause damage to the bare pavement, your garage floor, or your vehicle if they break from the wear of riding on a harsh surface.

Installing Tire Chains

Installing these chains is simple.

Lay chains on the ground to get all the tangles out

1. Lay out the chains on the ground to make sure there are no twists or kinks.

Drape chains over tire.

2. Drape the chains over your tires, making sure that the prongs attaching the cross chains to the side chains face away from your sidewalls.

Connect the chain behind the tire

3. On the back of the tire, pull the chain tight and hook the ends together. Repeat on the front of the tire.

Install tensioners

4. Drive forward 2-3 vehicle lengths and recheck the chain tension. If needed, rubber adjusters (sold separately) can be used to get a tight fit. Make sure the hooks on the adjusters face away from your tire so your wheels don't get scratched.

Quick Tips:

  • Lengthen the life of snow chains by drying them after each use before you store them.
  • Check out our installation kit with safety lights and a kneeling pad (PO34FRK) to make things a little easier when you're installing chains out in the snow.

How to Choose Snow Chains for Your Vehicle

To choose the right snow chain, you must match your tire size. Those measurements can be found on the side of your tire.

Tire size on sidewall

185/60-15

  1. (185) - indicates tire width in millimeters
  2. (60) - gives you the aspect ratio (sidewall height as percentage of width)
  3. (15) - denotes the diameter of the wheel rim in inches

Video Transcript for Titan Chain Mud Service Snow Tire Chains Road Test

Speaker 1: When snow and ice make driving difficult, tire chains can give you the traction you need to maintain control of your vehicle. Laws regarding snow chain use vary by region. Your area may require the use of tire chains in certain weather conditions. You will also want to check your owner's manual to see what your vehicle's manufacturer says regarding tire chain use.Let's look at our tire chains in action. These are great for heavier snow and ice and can be used off road and mud. The square links provide superior strength and grip, and the ladder pattern provides more effective starts and stops.

Check out our handling as we turn, and check them out when we break.

Rugged enough for rocky and snowy trails. Fits good and easy to install.

by:

Delivered quickly and the website video was helpful. I practiced putting these on in the driveway, and they’re very simple to install. I may buy a new bag to hold them in though because they’re heavy, probably 40-50 pounds, and the bag they come in is a little iffy.

Great customer service.

by:

Great customer service order shipped promptly. Chains are heavy duty and fit great on my 23 Tacoma. Shopped a lot of websites trying to find good heavy duty chains without camloks as they are worthless off Road. E-trailer had exactly what I wanted and at a good price.

Got the chains in above picture for a hunting trip in Wyoming. Glad I did it snowed and had to use them. They worked great on my 2011 Tundra, didn’t spin a tire and not sure if I could have got out without them. Very heavy duty and should last a long time. And great customer service!

  • Can Snow Tire Chains be Used for 7.5R16LT Trailer Tires
We do have some tire chains that should fit the 7.5R16LT tires on your trailer, however there are no tire chains that fit that specific tire size. The tire size 235/85-16 will have a very similar overall diameter and width. This means that chains for a 235/85-16 tire should fit the tires on your trailer. If you're just wanting plain chains then the Titan Chain # TC2437 set is what I recommend. If you're wanting something that is a little easier to install and has a diamond pattern for...
