Hello neighbor, this is Curt with etrailer, and today we're gonna take a look at the DeeZee Rough Step Running Board. Now, a running board is really the best way to reduce that step getting in and out of the vehicle, especially on a vehicle that's got a higher lift off of the ground than others. And if you're looking for a running board that's gonna have some great utility to it, maybe sacrifice a little bit on the style side, then the Rough Step might be the running board for you. Now, the main purpose of this running board is gonna be this industrial grating. And that's gonna act as a really nice boot scrape for you. So especially if you're using your vehicle a lot for work, this is gonna be a great way to get that mud and snow and dirt and all those other things off of your boots so that you can keep the inside of your vehicle clean.

The industrial grating has a lot of these little teeth to them that's gonna act as that extra scrape and really get into the tread of your shoes and boots to help get it out. It's also going to be perforated. So any kind of extra debris or water or anything like that is gonna be able to fall straight through. It's also gonna help to make it very easy to clean. Now, these are made from a very sturdy, powder-coated steel.

And that's gonna be great because it's gonna be very, very corrosion and rust-resistant. And as far as the sturdiness goes, it's gonna have a 350-pound weight capacity with a seven-inch wide step. And that's a pretty generous step. So as far as if you're worried about having a larger shoe or boot size, this is gonna offer plenty of platform for you. Now, if you're looking for something with higher than a 350-pound capacity, we do offer right here at etrailer a step that's very, very similar to this from Gen-Y.

However, you will be sacrificing an inch of width, it's only a six-inch wide, as opposed to the seven-inch wide that we have here. Now, the brackets are also made out of that same matte finish, powder-coated steel, and they are custom fit so you have a no-drill installation. It'll mount to the existing mounting points in your vehicle. So make sure that you're using our Fit Guide to make sure you put in the correct year, make and model of your vehicle. And in the case of a truck, you should also put in the correct cab size as well.

That'll help you get not only the right brackets, but the right length of board. Now, another great use for running boards, other than just getting in and out of the seat, if you have an SUV, truck, van, whatever it might, that also is using a roof rack, it's a great way to step up and be able to reach that without actually getting into the vehicle. Another great use for it would be if you have a truck with a ladder rack and a cantilever over the cab, it's gonna allow you to get up there and reach those tie-down points as well. So in my opinion, the DeeZee Rough Step is an excellent choice for anybody who's a lot more concerned with keeping the inside of their vehicle clean by having this boot scrape and being able to keep all that extra debris off of your shoes before getting into your vehicle.
