Hi, everyone. Steven here with etrailer. Today we're taking a look at our Bigfoot hydraulic jack. It's a single pump, single jack rated at 12,000 pounds of lift capacity. Now, folks, this is gonna be a heavy-duty style jack. It's very versatile, meaning you could put it on cargo, livestock, heavy equipment, construction trailers, even bumper pull or goosenecks that need that heavy-duty rating.
And what I like about this is you're gonna get the complete setup in one package. So you have the jack, you have the reservoir and everything, the pump included. You have a magnetic remote, and of course you have the brackets and bolts, to mount this on your trailer without having to worry about welding. And I wanna start off with the remote while I have it here. As you can see, you have a key, you can lock this, that way no one can come and mess with your jack.
It is magnetic on the back so you can put it on your trailer frame, put it on the box here. You got plenty of length of wires to go where you need to. Also, before I go too further in this, you can actually unbolt the main power unit box here and everything, and move it somewhere else remotely if you don't want it where it's at. Just keep in mind, you'll probably have to purchase longer hydraulic hoses because these are the length that comes with it. So just keep in mind, you can move this if you want to, but you're gonna need to purchase some longer hoses.
Also, this does not come with any fluid inside of it for shipping purposes, so you do need three quarts of a ATF Dexron III, that's not included, to get this to work. And of course, you're also gonna need a 12-volt battery power source to use it, to power it up. The foot plate is 10-by-10 inches. It can pivot back and forth. So if you're on uneven surface, it can pivot.
As you can see, I got a wedge in there so it doesn't flip over on me. And these mounting brackets on the back, they're already pre-welded onto the jack, I got 7 1/2-inches long and 4-inches tall overall. And then those will match up with these guys onto the trailer frame, and these are 2-inches long on the longer side, 1 3/8-inches on the shorter side. And these are also 4-inches long, obviously matching up that height. So again, you're gonna get those four with the hardware needed to install. Overall from the top of the jack to the ground, when it's fully retracted like it is now, I got 34 inches when I measured it beforehand, right to the top of the jack. When it's extended, that measurement goes to 55 inches. So again, folks, a nice heavy-duty jack. As you can see, it has a black powder coat finish, so it's very robust. It should protect it against rust, corrosion, those kind of things. And quite honestly, hydraulic jacks, if you've never used 'em, you're gonna wish you would've done it sooner. It's a great investment, especially if you're using that trailer for business or personal use, those kind of things, on the daily or even, you know, a couple times a week even. It's just so much easier not having to worry about cranking stuff up, go up and down quicker, those kind of things. Just takes a lot of stress off of you and honestly, less moving parts mechanically, and those kind of things. So a great option for you.
