Upgrade a heavy trailer with a 20K tandem hydraulic jack system. Two 12K legs share one 12V pump for powered lifting with 24" of lift, plus a manual override gives you a backup if the trailer loses power.
Heavy gooseneck, cargo, livestock, and equipment trailers can put a lot of weight on the landing gear when you hitch or unhitch. This Bigfoot system gives you 20,000 lbs of combined lifting capacity with two heavy-duty hydraulic legs, each providing 24" of lift, so the pump handles the work instead of a manual crank.
Each jack uses a 10" x 10" pivoting foot to give the trailer a broad contact point on the ground. With two legs supporting the front of the trailer, you also get a wider stance than a single center-mounted jack.
This is a drive-and-slave setup. One jack carries the 12V hydraulic power unit, while hydraulic lines connect the second jack into the same circuit. One keyed control extends and retracts the system without requiring a separate pump at each leg.
Because both legs share one pump, they cannot be adjusted independently for side-to-side leveling. If you need to raise one side separately, a dual-pump setup is the better fit.
If the trailer's 12V system loses power, the manual-override pump gives you another way to operate the system. A 1/4" hex drive at the pump lets you run it without electrical power, so a dead battery or electrical problem does not leave you without a backup method of moving the landing gear.
The kit includes the mounting brackets and hardware, hydraulic lines and fittings, battery cable, 80-amp circuit breaker, and weather-resistant keyed control. You supply a 12V battery and slightly less than 3 quarts of Dexron III ATF.
The system calls for at least 4-gauge battery cable and a solid ground through the steel mounting structure or a separate frame ground. The adjustable B-brackets are designed around trailer frame sections from about 3-5/8" to 5-1/2" wide, and the jacks can also mount directly to the frame when your trailer layout calls for it.
Set the jacks so you have at least 8" to 10" of ground clearance at ride height. Mounting hardware is included, but thicker trailer frames may require longer bolts. The pump can also be relocated if needed; longer hydraulic hoses are required and sold separately.

Hi everyone. Steven here with etrailer. Today we're looking at the Bigfoot hydraulic jack set. It's a single pump and it has a manual override included into the unit. Now this is rated at 20,000 pounds capacity total. Now, this is gonna be a heavy duty application, obviously.
It's very versatile, it's gonna be great for cargo, livestock, heavy equipment trailers, whether it's a bumper pull or a gooseneck pull. And again, this is the complete package. So as you can see, you're gonna get brackets, hoses, all the hardware, the fittings for the hoses, all these smaller brackets for mounting it. It's a simple bolt-on application. They have brackets welded onto the back of both of these jacks, and then those smaller brackets will marry up with these on your trailer.
That way if you ever have to replace one or something, it's as simple as un-bolting versus worrying about cutting welds off and those kind of things. So it's a very nice kit. Once again, it's a manual override included. There is a access point up here that this will go down inside of. And then, with that, you can use a drill, not an impact but a drill, to manually operate that if you had to go up or down in the case of loss of power and those kind of things.
So I did wanna throw up an image real quick here as well of the hoses connected together with the kit to show you where everything goes. And then, obviously, with that cover taken off, you can see that bluish color reservoir. That's where your ATF Dexron III is gonna go. And that is not included, so you will need three quarts of that ATF Dexron III to operate and give you a worry-free operation. And you also get a remote.
And what I like about this is it's magnetic, so it simply snaps in place like that, or sticks in place rather. And then, you do have a set of keys that I just dropped on the floor, and those are gonna go right in here. So you can lock this, that way no one can come by and manually operate your jacks whenever you don't want them to, and things. So you do have a long cable length there, so that should give you plenty of option as far as being able to use that, mount it wherever you want it. Let me go ahead and step around here. So on the follow leg here, again, I can spin this one around since I have it on a little turntable. I did wanna show you the backside and show you these mounting brackets here. These are four inches tall, seven and a half inches long. And again, those other smaller brackets are about two inches wide by four inches long on the long side of that L shape there. And when I measure these, I got a height from the top, fully retracted like it is now, all the way to the ground, so under the foot plate, I got 34 inches tall with it fully retracted. Whenever it's fully extended, they should go up to 55 inches. The foot plate is 10 inches squared, so 10 by 10. Obviously, they shaved the corners off on diagonals as far as the shape overall. But if it was a square, it's 10 inches by 10 inches. Again, you're getting the hydraulic hoses you need to reach from this side all the way over to the pump side. Let me grab those keys now that I'm thinking about it. And again, you got the keys here. Again, now you can lock it out if you don't want people messing with your stuff, and getting in there and messing with you and everything. So that's how that works. Again, this is magnetized so it's easy to operate. You can put it wherever you want to. And again, lock it out in the event that you don't want nothing messed with. It does require. It does require a 12 volt battery source to operate, to give it the power. And obviously, it has a nice, black powder coat finish over it that's gonna keep it protected, looking good, and keep it corrosion resistant.
