Keep your tools protected and within reach without opening the entire box. This 62" crossover toolbox fits smaller pickups, with independent gull-wing lids that let you access just the side you need.
You've spent good money on your tools, so tossing them loose in the bed doesn't make much sense. It can be aggravating watching expensive tools get beat up just because they don't have a protected place to ride. They get knocked around while you drive, buried behind whatever else you're hauling, exposed to the weather, and left where anyone can walk off with them. This gull-wing crossover box gives them an enclosed place behind the cab while leaving room underneath for tools or other cargo in the bed. The included J-hook hardware mounts the box without drilling into your truck.
Give either locking knob a quick bump with your hand and the latch releases, letting the gas struts take over and smoothly raise that lid to nearly 90°. Independent gull-wing lids let you open just the half of the box you need from either side of the truck. Reinforced hinge points maintain alignment as the lids open and close, while full metal shields protect the struts from tools and equipment shifting inside the box. A full rubber weather seal surrounds the lid openings to help keep dust, dirt, and weather away from your gear.
A large open compartment gives you room for bigger gear, but small tools get buried when everything shares the same space. A sliding tool tray, level holder, and tool caddies on both interior side walls give screwdrivers and other frequently used tools their own places without taking away the main compartment.
The box is formed from one-piece aluminum diamond tread, with additional aluminum reinforcement at stress points throughout the enclosure. The aluminum resists corrosion, while the textured black powder coat covers the exterior.

Hi everyone, Steve here with etrailer. Today we're taking a look at the Westin brute 62-inch long gull-wing standard crossover toolbox in a textured black finish. Now folks, this has been constructed of a one piece thick aluminum with a diamond tread pattern and they've also put additional thickness of aluminum reinforcements at the key stress points about the toolbox, like the lid, corners, around the locking mechanisms and those kind of things and around those gas struts. So why gull-wing Well, if you're not familiar, basically you have one wing, two wings, so that's where they get the term gull-wing. It opens up much like the gull-wings on the fancy cars do and stuff, and again, it's a nice one piece, very strong toolbox. Now again, if you don't like black for whatever reason, we do carry this in polish aluminum.
That's part number W93YH sold separately and zooming in. You can kind of see the side of it now and all of our storage. But before I get into the storage, I do wanna go real quick over how it opens. So let's say that you're out doing your thing, you got working gloves on or whatnot. You need to get in here very hard sometimes with the older like kinda latch styles, but this, I can still be come over here, tap it, it's gonna automatically open for me.
Double gas struts on both gull-wing door is gonna lift it up for me with ease. Now I have access to get to my tools and stuff. As you can see, you got two keys included. Those are gonna go for the lock. They are key, the same side to side, you're gonna get the hardware.
This is a no drill installation using their easy J hook hardware kits, two for each side that's gonna hold onto the bed rail of your truck. And of course you get your foam with double sided adhesive on the back that's gonna go underneath this hangover onto your bed rail, protecting that bed rail from any kind of harm and anything. And then they give you this nice tray here. That tray is slidable all the way over to the opposite side. And it can also come out, just be careful taking it out.
It does take a little finessing at an angle to get it up and out. I doubt you'd probably take it out a lot, unless you we inchesre really like cleaning it out the toolbox or something. But that's what that looks like. You do have these aluminum dividers included, so if you wanna make a larger spot here for some wider gear, something, you have that capability, which I like. And then of course you can put gear and stuff in there. I put the straps in there or the foam. And then if I can show you, it's kinda hard to see, but you do have four holes and two rectangular slots on both sides of the toolbox. So this side and the passenger side. And that's for like screwdrivers, pliers, those kind of things. You can put those tools right there with ease. The holes are about 1/4-inch wide. I didn't actually measure 'em, but I did put some screwdrivers in 'em and they fit screwdriver really well. So that's what they're probably for. And then as far as getting this back in, again, just a little finesse, take your time. And now it's going back down. And again, I can slide that all the way to the other side if I so choose. And again, both sides have that extra yellow part for holding tools as well. And as I mentioned when we started, you have reinforcement over the locking mechanism that just simply closes down like the other side. I do wanna throw some dimensions real quick while I'm closing this other side. So again, we said it's a 62-inch long, that's side to side 18-inches tall overall. 20-inches deep or wide if you're looking into the side of it. And that's the main overall. So the base part, that's the part that's actually gonna sit between your bed rails, that's 51-inches long, 1-inches tall, and 20-inches deep as well. You have approximately about 12.9 cubic foot of space inside of this toolbox. Again, the highlights that I like is the push button rotary hatches. You can lock those, you can access your tools and gear from either side. And personally, I like the texture black better than the polish aluminum. That's just my personal taste. But once again, if you like the polish aluminum better, you like the shine, that is part number W93YH.
