Hello neighbor, this is Curt with etrailer and today we're taking a look at the Klymit Sojourn Stretch sleeping bag. Have you been looking for a nice cozy sleeping bag for kind of those more cold weather camping trips that you're going on I wanna introduce you to the Sojourn Stretch. It's gonna be a mummy style sleeping bag, which means it's gonna come up around your head, keeping out any kind of drafts, and it's gonna be rated down to temperatures of zero degrees Fahrenheit. So the Sojourn Stretch is gonna be made of nylon, it's gonna have its synthetic insulation, and it's gonna be really kind of thick and that's what's gonna help you out with those much, much colder temperatures. There's a couple other neat features to it that are different from some other sleeping bags, one of which is what they call the height lock. And what that is going to allow you to do is use this kind of bar and loop system here.

You're gonna see these loops on the side and you'll be able to bring this up and shorten the sleeping bag so that it just is gonna be more comfortable if you're not taking up all that height. And it's gonna keep it from shifting around a whole lot. There are two sets of these loops to get it shortened up. So you could take it down by about six inches at each loop, making this a total of a foot shorter if you need it to be. It's gonna feature a double-sided zipper here, so it could easily zip up from the inside.

It's got a really nice hardy head to the zipper here, so it doesn't snag very easily either. And being that it is such a warm sleeping bag, if it gets a little too warm for you, there's an extra zipper down here at the bottom that you could zip up or zip open. And this is just gonna add a little bit of extra ventilation down by your feet, keeping you comfortable at night. And when it's time to roll up your sleeping bag and pack up after a night of camping, you're gonna get this nice compression sack with it for easy storage and transport. We've got the large one in here right now, so it does have a draw string top up here and then it's got this cap to it with the extra straps to help get it tightened down 'cause you know, like with any camping trip, once you unroll that sleeping bag, it can be kind of tough to get that perfect roll back.

So having this cap with the straps makes it really easy to get it packed up and ready to go. This is the large version of it and packed up, it's gonna come in at about five and a half pounds measuring 17 by 11 inches, if you're needing to know what kind of space you need to make. The regular is gonna weigh about five pounds and then packed up it's gonna be 16 by nine and a half inches. So there are two different sizes to the Sojourn Stretch, and you saw me sitting down in the regular sized one here. We went ahead and opened the large one up just to give a size comparison of the two.

And really, the main difference is going to be in the width. The large size is just slightly longer, but again, we've got those height adjustments to make it shorter and longer. What the big significant difference is going to be is in the actual width of it. So the large is gonna measure 82 inches by 40 inches across. The regular here is gonna measure 82 inches by 30 inches across, so you get a a bit more shoulder for you, a bit more width out of the large version. In fact, what they recommend at climate is that if you have a shoulder girth around the 58 inch mark, the regular's gonna be good for you. If it's closer to the 78 inch mark, the large is gonna be good for you. And by shoulder girth, they just measure, they just mean a measurement around your shoulders at the widest point. So if you know what that is or if you take that measurement, you should be able to determine easily which size you would need. And that's a look at the Klymit Sojourn Stretch sleeping bag.
