Today we're going to be taking a look at the K-Source replacement side mirror for the driver's side of your vehicle. This product fits a 2003-2010 Volkswagen Beetle. The side-view mirror is a direct replacement for the driver's side factory mirror on the vehicle. It's modeled after the manufacturer's original look and fit. It's going to feature power mode capability. That way you can adjust the mirror face position by using the factory power controls from inside your vehicle, and it's going to have a heated mirror glass that's going to clear frost and ice and reduce fogging.
The amber light right here, it's on the side of the mirror, this is going to flash when the turn signal is activated. It's going to feature an OE-grade convex glass with first-surface plating to reflect clear images. The front of the glass is plated with a reflective chrome and then the convex lens is going to provide a wide-angle view that really helps reduce blind spots. It does feature a breakaway design so the mirror will fold when struck from the front or the back to help deter breakage. It's going to have a nice durable plastic housing with the black finish cover candy painted to match your vehicle, if desired. It's a no-drill installation.
It's going to use your same footprint and mounting points as a factory mirror, and then the mirror will plug into the existing electrical wiring on the vehicle. This mirror will need to be assembled before installation. It does not come pre-assembled. It does come with instructions though to help out with that. For demonstration purposes, we already assembled the mirror just to give you a really good idea of what it's going to look like. The original equipment or OE number is 1C1857507ABGRU.
