Video Transcript for Review of the K-Source Replacement Side Mirror-KS70223T

Michael: Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a quick look at the replacement side view mirror from K-Source. This is going to be a direct replacement for the passenger side factory mirror on your 2014 through 2018 Toyota Tundra. This is modeled after the Tundra's original look and fit. So you really shouldn't be able to tell that it is a replacement mirror.

It should look like it came with your Tundra right from the factory. It does use the same footprint and mounting points as your factory mirror. So you're not going to have to worry about drilling new holes or anything like that. It's going to be very easy to get installed. Basically, just take your old mirror off, put this one in it's place and you're ready to go.

This does have the manual mirror face adjustment, so you can adjust the mirror to whatever angle you need to best suit your needs.This is an OB grade product, so it's going to be the same quality materials as the original. The front of the glass is plated with a reflective chrome. So you're going to get a nice, clear image to see what's coming up behind you. It does have the convex lens like a lot of your passenger side mirrors do to help reduce blind spots, so that you can easily see anything that's there behind you if you're backing up or as you're going down the road. This does have a breakaway design.

So if you we're to bump into a post or the side of your garage or something like that, the mirror is going to fold in on itself to try and help absorb some of that shock and reduce the amount of damage to the mirror itself. It does have a durable plastic housing though, so it shouldn't sustain much damage, do a good job of protecting your mirror housing. This does have a textured black finish. So it's going to look really good with your Tundra.Now, for those of you who do need a little bit more reassurance that this is actually going to work for you, this is an exact replacement for the original equipment number that you see on the screen there. So if you're going through your owner's manual and you see that number or as you're taking the original off, you see that number on it, you can trust this is the mirror that you're going to need.

This is just the driver's side. If you need the passenger side as well, we do have that available here at etrailer.com as well. You can buy that using the part number that you see on the screen there. So hopefully, you don't need both the drivers and the passenger side. But if you do, we've got you covered.This does come with a 90 day warranty. So if you we're to have any problems within those first 90 days, you can give us a call. We'd be happy to help you out with that. But I really don't think you're going to have any problems. This is just your basic mirror with the manual mirror face adjustment. This does not have the blind spot detection feature to it. So if your original had that, you might be losing a little bit of functionality with this manner. But overall, you're still going to be able to see everything that's coming up behind you. So I think it's going to do a great job for you to replace that passenger side mirror on your Toyota Tundra.
