Video Transcript for Breaking Down the K-Source Replacement Side Mirror-KS70202T

Ellen: Hey everyone, I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com. And today we're taking a look at the K-Source replacement side mirror for the driver's side. This is going to be a specific fit for the 2015 through 2018 Toyota RAV4. This is going to be a heated mirror, so we'll be able to evaporate any kind of fog or ice that might be clinging to our mirror face. We'll also have the built-in turn signal on the side there, so we can indicate when we're turning and changing lanes. And we'll also be able to adjust this from inside the cab of our RAV4, so you don't have to worry about any kind of manual adjustments.

Now, if your vehicle didn't already have those functions; if it didn't have the remote capability, heated glass, turn signal, and also the blind spot detection. One thing I forgot to mention there, you can see the little car and car indicator, that's the blind spot detection system.If it didn't already have those functions, this isn't going to upgrade you. It's not going to give you those functions suddenly. You have to already have the wiring for this to connect into, to get all those functions. So, the nice thing about this is that we don't have to worry about any kind of cutting and splicing.

We're just going to be able to plug directly into our vehicle's existing wiring. So it should plug right in, just like the old mirror did. So you take out the old one, pop the new one in, just like you did before and you should be good to go. We'll also have this plate that's going to help to dampen any road noise and also keep out any dust, moisture and debris from getting in between our mirror and the vehicle. So it's going to help to keep everything protected.Our wiring is covered in a little booth sheathing, so that's going to keep our wire nice and protected as well.

The mirror uses an OE-grade flat glass. So we'll get a true representation of what's behind us, so we can see what's going on back there. Now, this is for the driver's side of your RAV4. One thing that this mirror does not have is a side view camera. So if your vehicle already had that, this is not going to provide that function for you, so keep that in mind. It does still have the breakaway design. So if we're on a narrow street, maybe on a one way street, or parking in a really narrow garage; we can flip our mirror in and keep it from getting damaged.
