Today we'll be taking a look at the K-Source Replacement Side Mirror. This is for the passenger side and is a custom fit for your 2014, through 2016 Toyota 4Runner.It has the powered connection, so we can use this for our heated glass, turn signal, and puddle of light, or puddle light there. If your vehicle didn't have any of those functions originally, this isn't going to upgrade you to new functions. It's just going to be a replacement to get all of those functions working again from your old mirror.Will have a durable black plastic housing, and you can pop off this portion of the cover to get it to be painted, to match the rest of your vehicle. It's easiest to do that with the cover removed, since it's a lot easier to keep any over-spray from getting on the mirror that way, But you don't have to do it that way. Just make sure that you tape it up really well to keep over-spray to a minimum.We'll have our three studs and new nuts to get that attached.
So we'll just thread those off, put our mirror on, and then tighten it back down. We'll foam around the outside to help reduce any noise, keep any dust and debris from finding its way into our vehicle.Again, our wiring connection just plugs right into our vehicle, to get all those functions going.We'll have a breakaway design so we can fold that in, keep our mirror nice and compact next to our vehicles, so we don't have to worry about getting broken again. And it also has an amber light on the side of the mirror. That will be our turn signal function there. So it's going to have all those same features as your original mirror, and it's really easy to install.The mirror glass is a convex style, so it's going to increase the field of view.
Kind of bows things out a little bit, and that's why gives you that little warning at the bottom, saying that objects may be closer than they appear, since it kind of messes with the depth perception in that mirror a little bit.Now if you need the driver's side mirror that's also available here, at etrailer.com, you can find that right here for your passenger, or for your drivers side.And that's going to do it for our look at the K-Source Replacement Side Mirror for the passenger side.
