Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a quick look at this case source replacement side view mirror. This is going to be a direct replacement for the driver's side factory mirror on your 2014 through 2018 Mazda three. This is modeled after your Mazda's original look and fit. So you really shouldn't be able to tell that this is a replacement mirror.

It should look like it came with your Mazda, right from the factory. It is going to have this back cover detached. When it ships to you that way if you we're wanting to paint this you can paint it separately and you don't have to worry about getting any over-spray on the other portion of the mirror. But, this is going to be a very easy installation because it's got the same footprint as the original. You're not going to have to drill holes or anything like that.

Basically just take your old one off, put this in it's a exact same place. The wiring and everything is going to hook up just like the original mirror did to give you your power remote capabilities. So you can adjust the mirror face position with the factory power controls inside your vehicle. Keep in mind that will only work, if your vehicle is already equipped with that this does have the heated mirror glass to help clear frost and ice and reduce fogging. It's also going to have the amber light on the side here.

So that will activate when your turn signal or a hazard lights are on. So very similar to the original should blend right in give you that nice finished cohesive look. It is an OE grade product so, it's the same quality materials as the original. The front of the glass is plated with reflective chrome. So it's going to give you a nice, clear image and it is a flat glass like most driver's side mirrors.

So you get a true representation of object size coming up behind you. This does have a breakaway design. So if you we're to run into the side of your garage or a parking post or something like that the mirror is going to fold in on itself to try and help absorb some of that impact reduce the amount of damage done to the mirror itself but it does have a nice durable plastic housing. So it should hold up really well for you. It's got a slight texture to it, but pretty smooth overall. So it should blend in really easily for you. Now, for those of you who do need a little bit more reassurance that this is going to work as a replacement for you, you can see that original equipment number on the screen there. So as you're taking the original mirror off or if you're looking through your owner's manual and you see that number, you can trust this is going to be the exact replacement that you need. It's a very simple thing to do. Switching out your original to this one. So definitely something you can do as a weekend project or something along those lines. Definitely not. You don't have to be super mechanically inclined to get this done. And then you get the benefit of having a nice new mirror to kind of finish your Mazda's look. Plus, it is also going to give you that rear view, side view mirror, so that it's going to keep you safe as you're going down the road, when you're changing lanes backing up that sort of thing.
