Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're taking a look at the K-Source replacement side mirror. This is going to be a direct replacement for your 2007 through 2015 Mazda CX-9 passenger side factory mirror. And it's modeled after the manufacturer's original look and fit so you're not really going to be able to tell that it's a replacement mirror. It's going to look like it came with your vehicle from the factory.And like your original, it does have the power remote capability. So you can adjust the mirror face position with the factory power controls inside your vehicle.
And the amber light on the back here is going to flash when your turn signal is activated. It is an OE grade material. So it's going to be the same quality as your original. The front of the glass is plated with a reflective chrome so it's going to give you a nice, clear image. And it does have a convex lens which is going to provide a wide-angle view so it can reduce your blind spots.
It has the breakaway design like most mirrors do these days so that if it strikes your garage door or a parking post or something like that, it's going to fold in to help try and reduce the amount of damage.And it's made out of a durable plastic housing with a black finish. This back cover can be painted to match your vehicle. Just to make it look even more like it came from the factory or coordinated with the rest of your vehicle. As far as the installation, it's going to be very simple. It's going to plug into your existing electrical wiring and the mounting points are the same as your factory mirror.
So you're basically going to be able to just pull off your factory mirror and put this right in its place. And you'll be ready to go. It does replace the original equipment number, TB1369120NPZ. And this part number does come with just the one passenger side mirror. If you need a driver's side mirror, you can find that separately, but it does come with a 90-day warranty from K-Source.

The product is a good fit. Very close to the original manufacturer mirror. Installing it was straightforward and I had no issues with the fit.
The only issue I have is with the products availability. The website did not state that it was on backorder when I purchased it, so I had to wait over three weeks for delivery. Not a deal-breaker, but a heads up before I purchased would have been good so I could decide whether or not to proceed. I'm glad I didn't absolutely need the mirror by a certain day. Otherwise this would be a different review entirely.
I definitely recommend etrailer for purchasing though. All of their products I have ordered are very good quality.
The good outweighs the bad with this replacement. The new K-Source mirror seems like it gives me a little bit wider angle of visibility than the OEM mirror. I appreciate that, but I was a bit disappointed that I couldn't simply just swap out the K-Source cover with my OEM cover. Truck looks like it has an eyepatch now! All in all, almost considered buying the right hand side for a matching set. I'll leave it for now.
