Michael: Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a quick look at the replacement side mirror. This is going to be a direct replacement for your 2011 through 2014 Hyundai Sonata's passenger side side-view mirror. It is modeled after the Sonata's original look and fit so you really shouldn't be able to tell that this is a replacement mirror. It should look like it came with your vehicle right from the factory, so keep the consistent look of your vehicle there.
Make sure it all looks classy and well put together. You can see we've got the amber light on the back here that's going to give us our turn signal. It's going to flash when we have our turn signal activated. We're also going to have the power remote capability. That's going to adjust the mirror face position with the factory power controls inside your vehicle.Keep in mind both the turn signal and that power remote capability will only work if your vehicle already has those functions engaged.
If your previous mirror didn't have those capabilities, this mirror will not add that onto your vehicle. It will just work if your vehicle is already compatible with those functions. Keep in mind this mirror does not have a blind spot mirror, although it does have a nice convex lens which can help reduce the blind spots. It's going to give you a nice wide angle view. It does have a reflective chrome on the front of the glass to give you a nice, clear image so you can easily see what's behind you.
It is an OE grade component so it's going to have the same quality materials and everything that your original did. It's also got the breakaway design so if you we're to, say, back up into your garage door or a parking post or something like that, the mirror will bend in to try and absorb some of that shock, reduce the risk of breaking the mirror itself.And as far as the installation, it's going to be very easy. It's got the same mounting points and electrical cable as your original mirror. Really, you can just take the old mirror off, put this one in its place. It's going to be very easy to get installed and get functioning for you.If you need the original equipment number, it's on the screen there for you, for those of you who like the details.

Thanks for the product. Just received today. Looks like exactly what I ordered. Realizing problem of Covid, but the only problem was excessive time for shipment.

The product is a good fit. Very close to the original manufacturer mirror. Installing it was straightforward and I had no issues with the fit.
The only issue I have is with the products availability. The website did not state that it was on backorder when I purchased it, so I had to wait over three weeks for delivery. Not a deal-breaker, but a heads up before I purchased would have been good so I could decide whether or not to proceed. I'm glad I didn't absolutely need the mirror by a certain day. Otherwise this would be a different review entirely.
I definitely recommend etrailer for purchasing though. All of their products I have ordered are very good quality.
The good outweighs the bad with this replacement. The new K-Source mirror seems like it gives me a little bit wider angle of visibility than the OEM mirror. I appreciate that, but I was a bit disappointed that I couldn't simply just swap out the K-Source cover with my OEM cover. Truck looks like it has an eyepatch now! All in all, almost considered buying the right hand side for a matching set. I'll leave it for now.
