Narrator Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at the K-Source driver's side replacement electric side view mirror. Now this is a custom fit part. It is designed to fit the 1999 to 2002 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra trucks. And on a custom fit part like this, I do like to recommend for you to go to our website, use the fit guide, put in your year and model vehicle, and it'll show if this part'll work for your application. Now this is a side view mirror.
It is a direct replacement for the driver's side factory mirror that's on your vehicle. And you can see it is modeled after the manufacturer's original look and fit. They do offer power remote capability. Basically you can adjust the mirror face position with the factory power controls inside your vehicle. And on this mirror, it uses an OE grade flat glass with first surface plating to reflect clear images.
Front of the glass is plated with reflective chrome and they do use a flat lens to reflect the true representation of the object size. They do offer a breakaway design. This mirror will fold when it's struck to prevent breakage. And if you notice, it's in a nice durable black plastic housing with a nice chrome finish to it. It is an easy, no drill installation.
It has the same footprint and mounting points as your factory mirror. And as we mentioned, the mirror will plug into your existing electrical wiring. Now this part will replace the original equipment, part number of 15172247. This is for quantity of one driver's side mirror. At one note I do wanna mention on this is the power remote capability of this mirror will only work if your vehicle already has those functions.
