Today we're taking a look at the K Source replacement side mirror for the passenger side of your vehicle. Now this product fits a 2000 to 2002 Ford Expedition and Lincoln Navigator. The side view mirror is a direct replacement for the passenger side mirror on your vehicle. It's modeled after the manufacturer's original look and fit and it does feature power grille 00:00:22 capabilities, so you'll be able to adjust the mirror face position using the factory power controls from inside the vehicle.We do have a light right here on this portion of the mirror which will flash when the turn signal is activated. We're looking at a OE grade convex lens with first-surface plating to reflect clear images. So the front of the glass is plated with a reflective chrome and the convex lens provides a wide angle view that really helps reduce blind spots.
It also features a break away design so if the mirror is struck from the front or the back, it will fold to deter breakage. We're looking at a durable plastic housing with a nice black finish. Can be painted to match your vehicle if desired.It's an easy, no-drill installation. Uses the same footprint of nine points as your factory mirror and the mirror plugs into your existing electrical wiring so it has the threaded studs right here and it does come with brand new installation nuts as well. The original equipment or OE number is 1L1Z17682BAA.

The product is a good fit. Very close to the original manufacturer mirror. Installing it was straightforward and I had no issues with the fit.
The only issue I have is with the products availability. The website did not state that it was on backorder when I purchased it, so I had to wait over three weeks for delivery. Not a deal-breaker, but a heads up before I purchased would have been good so I could decide whether or not to proceed. I'm glad I didn't absolutely need the mirror by a certain day. Otherwise this would be a different review entirely.
I definitely recommend etrailer for purchasing though. All of their products I have ordered are very good quality.
The good outweighs the bad with this replacement. The new K-Source mirror seems like it gives me a little bit wider angle of visibility than the OEM mirror. I appreciate that, but I was a bit disappointed that I couldn't simply just swap out the K-Source cover with my OEM cover. Truck looks like it has an eyepatch now! All in all, almost considered buying the right hand side for a matching set. I'll leave it for now.
