Today we're going to be taking a look at part number KS61013F. This is the K Source replacement side mirror for the passenger side of your vehicle. This is designed to fit your 1995 to 2001 Ford Explorer and Mercury Mountaineer. The side view mirror is a direct replacement for the passenger side, factory mirror on your vehicle. This is modeled after the manufacturers original look and fit. It is going to feature power remote capability.
That way, you can adjust the mirror face position by using the factory power controls from inside the vehicle. We're going to have OE-grade convex glass for the first surface plating. The front of the glass is plated with a reflective chrome and the convex lens provides a wide angle view that's going to help reduce blind spots. This does feature a breakaway design so if it gets hit from the back, it'll fold in. If it gets hit from the front, it'll fold away.
That's just going to help hopefully prevent permanent damage. It has a little bit of flexibility, a little bit of give if it does get struck from either side. The unit's going to be made from a durable plastic construction when it comes to the housing, nice black finish. This is an easy, no drill installation. It's going to use the same footprint and mounting points as your factory mirror. It's going to have the 3 studs and it's going to come with the nuts.
It's going to plug into the existing electrical wiring. The original equipment or OE number is F5TZ17682B. With this part number, you're going to get one passenger side mirror. Please keep in mind that the power remote capability with this mirror will work only if your vehicle already has that function. As you can see, this mirror does not have a puddle lamp. That's going to do it for today's look at part number KS61013F..

The mirror chrome is very nice. Have not installed on the car as of yet.
Had to replace a damaged side mirror on my son's Prius. Price was right, George even sent me an email with a "how to install" video. Toyota wanted over $300 to do this! Literally took me less than 45 minutes! Eventually will find spray touch up paint and make it match the car, but the gloss black finish is excellent as it is. Great buying experience.
