Michael: Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're taking a quick look at the K-Source replacement mirror. This is going to be a direct replacement for the passenger's side view mirror on your 2014 through 2017 Jeep Cherokee. It is modeled after the Cherokee's original look and fit, so you really shouldn't be able to tell that it's a replacement mirror. It should look like it came with your Cherokee right from the factory, so you don't have to worry about it looking like you got it from a junk yard or something.
It will integrate well with your Cherokee. It does have the power remote capability so you can adjust the mirror face position with the factory power controls inside your vehicle. It also has the heated mirror glass that's going to clear frost and ice and reduce fogging just like your original mirror.Keep in mind this will not add those functions to your Cherokee if it doesn't already have it, but if your original passenger side mirror was capable of those things, this mirror will allow you to retain those functions. It will not add those functions if your vehicle didn't already have it. One thing that this does not support is your blind spot detection, your BSDS, so keep that in mind.
Another thing, it doesn't have the memory function to it so it's not going to remember where to adjust that mirror face position, but the other than that it's the exact same quality as your original. It's made from OE grade components, so same quality as the factory side passenger here that came with your Cherokee from the factory. We do have a reflective chrome finish on the front of the glass, so it's going to give us a nice clear image and it is a convex lens, which is going to give us a wider angle view to help reduce any sort of blind spots, which is pretty typical standard for most of your passenger's side mirrors.It does have the breakaway design, so if you we're to back into a post or a garage door or something like that, the mirror is going to try and fold in on itself to help minimize the impact, help deter any sort of breaking. But it is made of a very durable plastic housing with a black finish. This cover can be painted to match your vehicle if you have a different color to your Cherokee than the black there.
So just make it look even more integrated. As far as the installation, it's going to be extremely simple. We've got the same footprint as your original mirror, so really all you're going to have to do is take your old mirror off, put this one in its place, tighten down the hardware. The electrical plug for your heated mirror face and your factory power controls is the exact same, so everything's going to be very simple to get installed. For those of you who do like the details, this is an exact replacement for the original equipment number you see on the screen there, and this is just the passenger side mirror.

The passenger side view mirror for my 2002 Kia Sedona mini van arrived in perfect condition a day earlier than expected. I was concerned I could find a mirror for a vehicle 18 years old. The mirror matched the original mirror and took less than 10 minutes to install. The website was easy to follow, described the product in detail and simplified ordering.

The product was as advertised but I was more impressed with the service from etrailer.com. The supplier was a bit slow but the folks at etrailer.com kept me in the loop the entire way. It was very much appreciated as my wife was very anxious about not having the side mirror. The mirror fit and worked on the first try. Just one word of caution, there are no installation instructions with the mirror so you need to be comfortable taking a door panel off and doing the install. Kudos to Megan and the other staff that were so helpful!
My only issue is that I asked for the passenger side view mirror, for my 2012 Subaru Forrester. My vehicle, the side view mirrors also have lights on both, so oncoming drivers can get an additional signal, letting them know which way I am turning. The mirror sent does not have that. So now One mirror has it, and the other side does not. Great
