Today we're going to be taking a look at the K Source replacement side mirror for the passenger side of your vehicle. This product fits a 2011 to 2014 Volkswagen GLI and the Volkswagen Jetta. The side view mirror is a direct replacement for the passenger side factory mirror on you vehicle. This has been modeled after the manufacturer's original look and fit. It's gonna feature power remote capability, that way you can adjust the mirror face position by using the factory power controls from inside the vehicle. It's also going to feature heated mirror glass that's going to do a great job at clearing frost and ice, as well as reduce fogging. The amber light here on the back of the mirror will flash when your turn signal is activated, so that's built in and included.
When it comes to the glass, that's an OE-grade convex glass with first-surface plating to reflect clear images. It's actually plated with a reflective chrome, and then the convex lens is going to provide a wide-angle view that really helps reduce blind spots. It does feature a breakaway design, so if the mirror's struck from the back or from the front, it will fold in or away to deter permanent breakage. It gives it a little bit of give in case it does get hit. It's a durable plastic housing with a nice black finish on it. It can be painted to match the rest of your vehicle if desired.
It's an easy no-drill installation. It's going to use the same footprint and mounting points as the factory mirror, and then the mirror's going to plug into the existing electrical wiring. The original equipment or OE numbers, there's going to be two of 'em. I'm going to give you the first one. It's 5C8857508A.
The second one is 5C6857538AGRU. Please note that the power remote capability, heated glass, and turn signal of this mirror will work only if your vehicle is already equipped with those functions, and this mirror does not support the memory function.
