This vent makes it easy to fine-tune the airflow in your space. Just squeeze the built-in levers to move the dampers and send air exactly where you want it—or close it off entirely when you don’t. It fits a 4" duct opening, so it’s a simple way to manage heat or A/C without replacing your whole system.
Once the bezel is mounted in the wall or ceiling, the grille snaps right over the top to cover the mounting hardware. The covered-screw design gives it a neat, finished look instead of a rough install job.
The vent is built from tough brown plastic that stands up to everyday use without cracking or fading. It’s solid enough for repeat airflow adjustments while keeping a uniform color and clean surface over time.
If you’re replacing an old vent, this one drops right into a standard 4" duct opening. Installation tape and hardware come with it, and the overall 5-3/8" diameter louvered flange covers the cutout cleanly. Once in place, it’s ready to go.

Hey guys, it's Randy here at etrailer.com. Today, we're going to be taking a look at replacement heat and AC register or vent cover. This one's from Valterra, fits a four inch pipe. This is going to be almost like a direct replacement for most factory stuff. Got our brown here. We've got a tan, a white and a black.
I think they are going to do a good job. If you like the ability to just move these and close that off or just close off half of it, I think they'd be a good choice for you. They're going to do a good job. They're going to serve the purpose, but I like the ones where you can just rotate that front end. If this is the type you're looking for and if this is what you want, it's going to fit the bill for you very nicely.Basically, the only variations I've seen with these are where the screws are placed as they go in.
This one is dampenable, so we can shut the air flew off of coming through, coming out. I like the idea of that a lot, as compared to one that doesn't have that option because this allows us to really fine tune where our heat or where our air is going to be going, as compared to one that just lets the air free flow and only allows us to point it in the direction that we want. Now to do that, we move these arms. You can see when it's fully open, they sit down pretty flush and when we close it, they stick out like that. It gives us a good visual indication of whether that vent is open or closed, but something I don't necessarily like about that is that they stick out. They're going to come out from our vent surface about an inch, inch and a quarter there and I think we would run the risk, since a lot of these events are closer down to the floor, of maybe hitting those with our feet and breaking them. There are other options available where you would just rotate the cover and by rotating that cover you open and close those.
I think that's a better choice. I think I would go that way rather than this way simply because we won't run the risk of damaging it just by walking by.For the replacement process, of course we need to get our old vent removed, and see this is the type that spins all the way around the outside there. It has a center push pin. They can be varying in type, but most of the time you're just going to have a cover on the outside that protects and covers those screws, makes it look nice. In this one, we want to pull out on both sides here.
I'm just going to gently wiggle it side to side. You see that center section is going to come out and there we've got our four screws.A lot of times these are going to have a square bit. You can see there's a square on the inside, but a Phillips will also work for it. Let's just get this taken out, wood screws there, not much to it. We'll hang onto those. The cover's not going to come with the new ones. I'm just going to pull that out. See, there's our ducting material, just like a dryer hose really. There's a little staple in this one right here. We want to pop that out. Get that one out of the way. We can get our new one and slide it on.Now, we'll take our new vent there, need to get this slid in. I like to compress it on there, as much as I can, just so I know it's going to hold really well. Line up our holes there for our screws. Get that placed back in and just replace our hardware. Now, it will come with new hardware. If you're doing this, like a new installation situation, you can use that. Since we're doing it in an already existing place, we'll just use what came with it. With those installed, just take our covering, you can see the tabs. We going to have three of them around the outside. Let's get that put on, pushed into place. That's going to complete our look at the Valterra heat and AC register vents with dampeners.

I purchased four of this adjustable airflow heat vent to replace the Airstream 2015 Classic's vents that are fixed airflow. We had too much air coming out of the sitting area vents and not enough out of the bedroom, hall and bathroom vents. The product is not as heavy gauge plastic but they swivel and control airflow as designed. Also, they are very close to the same size as the vents being replaced so very easy to install. As always, etrailer is very good to deal with and fulfilled the order quickly.
Works perfrct..older model levers broke..nice to be able to direct air circulation again..
They look sturdy, when mounted inside the collar they are a little stiff to rotate. I think a little silicone will solve that.
These were exactly what I needed to redesign the ducted AC in my RV. Good quality plastic should stand up to use. 360 degree swivel plus the ability to open and close the louvers was what I needed to even out airflow for different weather conditions. Was really surprised etrailer carried things like this. Bought our tow bar and braking system for our toad from them but didn’t know how much more they sold.
Changed out the non-directional and non-closable ones in our fifth wheel with these. What a difference these have made. We can not only direct the air now where needed in a room but can close all the vents that are too close to the AC unit. Now we can ensure the cool air makes it way all the way to the ends of our trailer. Only negative is the are bit tight to rotate. If you are not gentle with them you can break part of the closing connector rod when turning. But just be careful when rotating and it should not be an issue. Maybe a little lube might remove that issue all together.
Perfect fit for a Grand Design 2930 RL
The diameter is SLIGHTLY smaller than 4" and the pre-drilled holes from the manufacturer where SLIGHTLY larger than 4". I had difficulty screwing the unit into place because there wasn't enough panel material for the screw holes to catch to.
Secondly, when closed, there was still a significant amount of air that came through. I was really hoping it would block more air.
Valterra makes good products. Our new 5th wheel toy hauler came with non-adjustable heater vents and the bathroom and the bedroom would be hot but the kitchen/living area would be cool. I got these to replace those heater vents it came with so I could close off the bathroom and bedroom and force more hot air to the kitchen/living area. These adjustable vents make that happen very efficiently. Shipping was fast and well packaged, installation is simple and these accomplish exactly what I had hoped they would accomplish.
good enough for my need .
Seems to be constructed well.
Exactly what I needed, Thanks! Fast, Easy service!
It was exactly what I was looking for, thank you
Doesn’t stop the heat from one side to another
I haven't had chance to install yet but I believe it will work as intended. Customer support was excellent. I was contacted to tell me that the color I ordered was back ordered and given an option to wait for the ordered color or have another color shipped immediately. I elected to get another color that will work just as well. I appreciated the information and options.
Seemed ok not very durable for close to a gas furnace
Sturdy plastic, easy to install, adjustable vents. Just want I wanted.
Works great as my heater vent. I added and extra duct off my heater to get more heat after repairs were made to the furnace.
We were looking for a replacement vent for our dog kennel/house. the manufacturers of the house sell no replacement parts. the function and dimensions are perfect. thanks for the great customer service.
It worked great for the terminus of my Coolcat reroute in my Rockwood A213HW. I did remove the innards so as not to slow down the flow of two outlets to one smooth duct.

We were looking for a replacement vent for our dog kennelhouse. The manufacturers of the house do not sell replacement parts. The function and dimensions are perfect for our needs. Still working after a year of outdoor use in full sun.
