Hello everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this sea flow black 9 and 1/2 inch wide by 23 and 15/16ths of an inch tall multipurpose access door. Now this multipurpose access door allow easy keyless access to a compartment on your boat or your RV. So this is ideal for accessing control panels, valves and wiring. Does use the dual quarter turn recess latches.
These do turn independently to allow you to open the door. You see just open the lid, just like that. And this easy open hatch door does swing 180 degrees all the way open to give you plenty of room to reach your gear. The durable weather resistant synthetic fittings. The nice rubber seal right here will help keep the compartment dry.
So when you do close your door and then close it with the handles that'll keep everything inside nice and dry. It is a low profile hatch it's designed to mount flush to the surface. Now the top of the lid itself, if we zoom in you can notice, does have a nice non-skid surface to it. So it prevents slipping when it's installed in the floor. And if you'll notice, when I flip open the lid, that lid does have extra heavy duty support braces on it.
So it is built for extra strength. Now this is a nice strong ABS plastic construction resists UV rays road, salts, and acids. Now the hardwood install, this is not included but just to show you, if we open the lid, you can see on the frame here, it has the holes already drilled. All you would have to do is supply the mounting hardware. This one is a nice black color.
It does also come available in a white color we do sell separate on our website. Last thing I'm gonna do is give you some dimensions. We're gonna give the external dimensions with the door closed, and then we're gonna open the door and give you the opening dimensions. So right now, if we do the external width we had mentioned, it's gonna be right at 9 and 1/2 inches. The external height, gonna be right at 23 and 15/16ths of an inch tall. And then if we open the lid and we do the width opening, height opening, width is gonna be right at 6 and 5/8ths inches wide. Overall height opening 20 and 3 quarters of an inch tall. But again, you can go ahead and close your lid, rotate your latches, locks it in place and then you have a whole flush top there. But that should do it for the review on this sea flow black 9 and 1/2 inch wide by 23 and 15/16ths of an inch tall multipurpose access door..

The shipping and processing was great and the quality of the access door is really nice. However the door will not work for my application. The 9-5/8 wide door has an opening that is only 6-1/2 wide and I need 7 inches. I’ll keep this door and use it for a different application, it will cost to much to return it.
This is exactly what I was looking for as part of my camper remodel. These doors are sturdy and they seal very well. I didn't want another key to get into a storage area of my camper. These latches are great and you can change the direction they close in so all the latches on both doors go in the same direction.
Don't for get to buy some sealant for when you install them.
Arrived timely and looks like good quality. We will install it next week. This will give a bit better access to the area where the water valves are located

I was excited to receive my hatch door.
I after opening it it seemed to be well built and nicely packaged when pulling back the plastic wrap I did notice it had a few scratches on the front.
I’m not too worried about the scratches because it’s really not that visible from our house.
This is going on the outside of a new Spa that we are putting man made veneer stone on.
The door or hatch is exactly what we needed.

Nice solid door, smooth latched and simple installation. Used it on my houseboat, we removed the old propane water heater and needed a cover for the hole left behind, but wanted it to be a door so we can access the new electric water heater for service in the future. I’ve had it for a year and it looks great and hasn’t faded in color.
Excellent. Shipped quickly, solid, waterproof, looks and feels like a strong, quality, product.
Looks great, Easy Install. However....The latch broke within a year. Bummer. But I should add that E-Trailer responded quicky on a warranty claim. Overall it is good product but could use some R&D improvement. I'd much rather just bought the one piece that broke.
Appears to be great quality. Arrived quickly and was adequately packed. Installed on RV easily.
Unlike other products purchased from E-Trailer that have performed well this product not so great. With minimal usage in one year of ownership the latch mechanism failed. I will be seeking a warranty replacement.
