Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we take a look at the Huges Autoformers 30 Amp Safe View Smart Power Inlet the white color. Now this is a 30 amp power inlet. This will let you connect your RV to shore power. It is compatible with the twist lock power cords with the locking rings. If you notice, it has a display panel right here that'll let you know if the shore power connection is safe to use.
It'll provide early warning of any problems at the campsites that have the old power boxes, and it'll help save your appliances from any damage caused by incorrect wiring. These three letters over here, they are LEDs that'll illuminate when you connect your shore power cord. The G would be ground, L would be line, N would be neutral, and they do offer a halo light that goes around the whole perimeter here. That'll also tell, it'll light up white if everything's good, red if there's a problem. Now all green lights will tell you it's safe to turn on your RV's main breaker.
Any red lights or indicators remaining off will tell you there's a problem. And there's an instruction guide that'll show you different light patterns when they light up, which will identify missing lines, missing neutral, missing ground, or reverse polarity. And of course, all lights if they're off mean there's no power coming from the pedestal. The cover you can see on it snaps shut to protect the inlet from water and debris while you travel. It is a nylon plastic construction, resists damage that could be caused by weather and excessive heat.
And on the inside, when you make your connections, they use nickel plated contacts, which are corrosion-resistant. It is a very easy installation into your RV wall. The hardware right here is included, and it uses the same mounting holes you can see here and wall opening as most standard inlets. The spacing between these mounting holes, if we go horizontal center to center our vertical center to center is 2 7/16. Now this part is RVIA compliant, MEMA compliant, and ETL certified.
Amperage on this is 30 amps. A few dimensions on this, the width we take our ruler, this is gonna be right at 4 3/8 inches. Overall height to the very top right up here is 4 1/4 inches. The depth from the front to the very back here, it's gonna be right a 4 1/4 deep. And the just the outlet portion that'll be mounted onto the wall is gonna be about 1 3/8 inches. Now this is in an all white color. They do also offer this in an all black color. We do sell that separately on our website. It's part number HU87VR. But that's gonna do it for a look at this Hughes Autoformers 30 Amp Safe View Smart Power Inlet.
