Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a real quick look at this Coleman-Mach Roughneck Mach 3 13,500 BTU RV air conditioner with this polished white shroud. Now, at 13,500 BTU, this is gonna give you enough cooling for smaller to mid-size RVs. Think about 30 feet longer and under. And this is also gonna be good for those camping in moderate climates.
So this Roughneck series is specifically designed for harsher environments. So if you travel in areas with extreme heat or lots of dust or rugged terrain, this unit is made to hold up better than a standard rooftop air conditioner. This has a sturdier build and reinforced components, so this isn't going to get rattled apart as easily on bumpy back roads. For instance, this has a brace plate assembly inside that's going to secure the condenser coil and compressor from high vibrations, and a welded wire compressor clamp that's going to limit the motion of the compressor. So it is built quite a bit tougher and more durable than your typical RV AC unit.
Now, giving you some measurements here, looking at the overall length, from end to end, we're sitting a little over 38 inches long. The overall width, we're sitting a little over 26 inches wide. And this is a medium-profile air conditioner, so we're sitting at about 14 inches tall. And this is going to work with your standard RV roof openings of 14 1/4 inches by 14 1/4 inches. And this weighs about 80 pounds or so.
Now, this is a rooftop AC only, so this will be compatible with both ducted and ductless systems. It's going to be the air distribution box that's going to determine whether cooled air gets distributed through your existing vents in your RV or camper. That would be for a ducted system. Or if the air just plunges straight down. That would be for your non-ducted system.
So you're gonna pair this with a compatible Coleman-Mach air distribution box and thermostat, if you need that. And that's going to complete your cooling setup. Now, this unit will not be backwards compatible with any AC systems from 2024 and earlier due to the new R-32 refrigerant that this uses, that meets the 2025 EPA regulation. So if you have any existing components, like an air distribution box or a thermostat, and it's from 2024 or earlier, it's probably not going to work with this unit, so you will need a new air distribution box and a new thermostat. The good news is we do provide this unit with kits, whether it's for your ducted or ductless system. So feel free to reach out to us. You can either find them on our website or you could give us a call, and we can make sure that you're heading down the right road with the complete system that you are gonna need. I just wanted to give you a view of the plug here, the wiring harness that's gonna plug into the air distribution box. And so, like I said, this is going to be a great unit for you if you're looking for something that sits right at that 13,500 BTU and if you already have the additional components. But if not, we do have the kit that's gonna work best for you, so just let us know how we can help you out further. Well, I think that's gonna wrap up our look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.
